How is this possible? How can a human possess such power?
Matt struggled desperately, but he couldn't break free from the large hands gripping his neck.
The last time he encountered such immense power was from the monster he met that night.
If it weren't for his good luck and the monster's lack of reason, Matt would have died long ago.
And the man choking him today was countless times stronger than that monster.
What is happening to this world? Why has everyone's power become so exaggerated? Has he fallen behind the times?
Matt couldn't help but wonder in his heart, do those gods truly exist?
An unprecedented shock and doubt surged through Matt's mind, the reality before him seemed to tear apart his long-held beliefs and perceptions.
"Who... who exactly are you?"
Matt's voice was hoarse and weak, each word squeezed out as if from the depths of his throat.
The man ignored Matt and continued to stare in the direction of the church.
Then, as if throwing trash, he carelessly tossed Matt aside and walked directly towards the church.
"Your power... it can't possibly be human... Who are you?"
Matt forced out the sentence with difficulty, struggling to get up with all his might.
Although the man had merely tossed him aside, it had re-injured Matt, who was still recovering from serious wounds. He felt a despair unlike anything he had ever known, yet a sliver of unwillingness still burned deep within him.
"Are you finally beginning to feel the greatness of the power bestowed by the gods? My name is Bronksky, the sole spokesperson for the Blood God in this world!"
"Oh, is that so? But I heard that the spokesperson for that alien demon called the Blood God is the Red Hulk, Bruce Banner?"
A sarcastic voice drifted from the direction of the church. Bronksky turned his head furiously, wondering who dared to speak such words and was tired of living.
Whether it was blaspheming the deity he worshipped or claiming he was inferior to Bruce Banner, a fool, these were the things he could least tolerate!
"Who are you, how dare you blaspheme the great Blood God? I, Bronksky, am the warrior truly chosen by the Blood God! Bruce Banner is merely a failed experiment; he cannot fully control the Blood God's power!"
The group of people in robes before him ignited Bronksky's rage. How dare these heretics blaspheme their god?
"It's just an alien demon. Compared to the Great Father, it's not even worth mentioning."
Evans shook his head dismissively. As the second-in-command of the Church of Dagon, apart from the Great Father, everyone else was at most an alien demon. Only the Great Father deserved to be called a god!
As Evans' disdainful words fell, the members of the Church of Dagon gathered around him. Their robes swayed gently in the breeze, as if every thread contained ancient and mysterious power.
A strange energy fluctuation began to fill the air; it was the power their god bestowed upon them.
Seeing this, Bronksky's eyes widened in fury. He roared and charged at these heretics who dared to provoke him, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.
His muscles swelled with rage, and a faint dark red glow emanated from beneath his skin, a sign of the Blood God's power boiling within him.
"You ants, how dare you question my power!"
Bronksky roared, clenching his fists, ready to annihilate these heretics with the force of thunder.
However, Evans merely smiled coldly. He slowly raised his right hand and chanted an ancient incantation.
Instantly, the air around the church seemed to freeze. Then, chains made of shadows emerged from all directions, coiling around Bronksky as if alive, attempting to restrain the berserk warrior.
Bronksky roared and struggled with all his might. Although the chains were incredibly tough, they seemed fragile in the face of his immense power.
After breaking free from the chains, Bronksky charged forward like an enraged bull.
Seeing this, the members of the Church of Dagon did not dare to delay. They all used their signature magic, attempting to stop this human tank.
But in front of Bronksky at full power, these mages were ultimately too inexperienced.
Before the magic could even hit Bronksky, he had already reached the members of the Church of Dagon and lunged at Evans.
Sensing danger, Evans immediately teleported away.
Seeing his attack miss, Bronksky suddenly grabbed another priest beside him and twisted forcefully.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!!"
With a cracking sound of bones breaking, the priest screamed in agony. Before he could use magic to escape, Bronksky tore off his lower body, successfully making him lose weight.
After bisecting him, Bronksky moved behind another priest with lightning speed.
Immediately after, the priest's head was launched like a cannonball, hitting one of his companions directly in the chest and blowing a large hole through his torso.
It wasn't over yet. There were still several people standing in a line behind him, all pierced by the projectile head. It finally smashed into the wall with a bang, exploding.
White and bloody brain matter splattered all over Matt.
These priests, who had their chests exposed, looked at the large holes in their chests in disbelief. After a long silence, they finally collapsed neatly in a row, utterly defeated.
With Bronksky's current strength, he could tear apart tanks with his bare hands, let alone fragile human bodies.
Moreover, the thrill of tearing enemies to shreds at such close range was unforgettable.
Bronksky was indulging in the pleasure of slaughter. Perhaps, in the eyes of Khorne, he would be a warrior more favored than Banner in the future?
A glint of madness and bloodlust flashed in Bronksky's eyes. Every swing of his fist, every life he tore apart, brought him an unprecedented sense of pleasure and power release.
His laughter echoed through the streets, a melody of victory and madness that sent shivers down one's spine.
Matt cowered to the side, his heart filled with fear and shock. Once again, he was powerless, and this time he had no strength left to fight back.
He had never imagined that humans could possess such terrifying power, nor had he expected to become a witness to a struggle between deities.
He felt his worldview being completely overturned. Things he had once believed existed only in legends were now unfolding before his eyes with such reality.
He wanted to stop the fight, but the intense pain in his body made him unable to get up.
Even if he could stand, how could he possibly stop the battle between such a group of monsters?
There was nothing he could do but cower there.
