Mo Li took it and glanced at the letter. His face instantly turned deathly pale.
It was a letter in Lin Yi's own handwriting!
"Brother Mo, as agreed, I've brought them here. I'll leave the rest to you. —Lin Yi"
The paper trembled in Mo Li's hands. "Th-this can't be real..."
"Still trying to fool yourself?" Mo Shan sneered. "You think a greenhorn like you could find this place on your own? If someone hadn't tipped me off, you'd have died on the way here."
A sense of foreboding welled up in Murong Xue's heart, too.
Looking back on the past few days, she realized there had indeed been a lot that didn't add up.
Why had Lin Yi appeared at just the right time?
Why had he known so much about this place?
Why had he kept urging them to act?
"No... I don't believe it..." Mo Li murmured, the light in his eyes slowly fading.
He had been betrayed by too many people in his life.
He had thought he'd finally met someone who genuinely wanted to help him. He never expected it to be another deception.
"Mo Li!" Seeing his dazed expression, Murong Xue hurriedly called out to him. "Now's not the time to think about this!"
The men in black around them were already closing in.
They were in grave danger!
Mo Shan stood with his hands behind his back, looking completely confident. "I suggest you surrender. Out of respect for our blood ties, I'll let you die quickly."
"Dream on!" Murong Xue cried, drawing her sword.
The silvery blade swept through the night in a beautiful arc.
The two men in black at the front fell at once.
"Attack!" Mo Shan ordered.
More than a dozen men in black charged at them all at once.
