649. The Bank Heist

When the day's classes ended, Wu Ming walked out of school and saw Jamie waiting for him.

"How was your first day of school?"

Jamie asked nervously, "Are you settling in all right?"

"It was okay. The classes are really interesting, and I even made a good friend. His name is Vidi!"

Wu Ming knew exactly what he needed to say to make Jamie happy.

"Haha..."

Just as expected, Jamie laughed happily at his answer. "I was worried you wouldn't fit in. After all, you're a little younger than the other kids starting school. But it looks like I was worrying for nothing!"

He scratched his head. "I'll walk you home today, but after this, you'll probably have to go to and from school by yourself!"

"Don't worry!"

To be honest, Wu Ming was eager for it to be that way. Then he'd have a little space and time to himself.

When they got home, Madam Sterling had already prepared a sumptuous dinner. She'd even added two boiled eggs especially for Wu Ming. "Steven's started school already. What a little star! These are your reward!"

"Thanks, Mom!"

Wu Ming dug in without hesitation, while thoughts turned over in his mind.

Maybe he should find a way to make some money soon? How could he stand having the whole family live on such a tight budget?

"Too bad... I'm still a little too young."

Wu Ming stared at his small palm, feeling rather speechless.

At his age, he probably couldn't get anything done even if he went out.

What adult would listen to a five- or six-year-old kid? The whole world would have to be crazy.

"I've got another bit of good news today!"

At the dinner table, Jamie announced proudly, "My shares didn't all turn into worthless paper after all.
