Crack! Crack!
In the dense darkness, where not a trace of light could be seen, several flashes of pale blue-white lightning suddenly flickered.
By their light, one could just make out a steam yacht, braving the monstrous waves as it darted through them like a paper boat.
The sea howled, and endless waves crashed down, rocking the little vessel at a terrifying angle, as if it would be wrecked and everyone aboard would perish the very next second.
"Urgh... Urgh..."
Inside the cabin, rain pounded against the windows, washing down like a waterfall. Vidi's face was contorted in pain as he dry-heaved violently, showing severe seasickness, but he couldn't bring anything up—he had already vomited up all his bile three minutes ago.
"I swear! I'm never going out to sea again..."
Everything inside the cabin was knocked askew. Fortunately, the larger items, like the beds and tables, had been secured long ago; otherwise, the scene would have been even more disastrous.
Even so, the ladies looked far from well.
"Such a violent and terrifying storm is indeed a rare sight!"
Wu Ming was also somewhat surprised. Of everyone aboard, he was faring the best.
Even if the yacht were truly capsized by the waves, it still wouldn't pose the slightest threat to him. But now, even his face held a trace of confusion as he stared out the window...
In the captain's cabin, Victor had long since lost his earlier air of ease. Even the tortoiseshell pipe he cherished as much as his own life had been tossed aside.
His feet were planted firmly, as if roots had sprouted beneath them, while his hands gripped the helm like iron.
"Quickly! Set the boiler to maximum power!"
"You little brats, if you don't want to drown, get moving right now!"
