Red Flame Saint Venerable watched the two converse, a satisfied smile appearing on his face.

There was nothing wrong with this disciple of his except for his unruly arrogance. Having someone thoroughly crush that arrogance was not a bad thing.

He took a light sip of tea before slowly saying, "Little Friend Xu Qing, do you know the source of the demon calamity in the River Star Region?"

Xu Qing raised a brow, a bad feeling rising in his heart. He said gravely, "This junior is all ears."

Red Flame Saint Venerable drew a deep breath and slowly said, "The Phoenix Clan."

Xu Qing's expression turned solemn at those words.

He knew full well how formidable the royal bloodline of the Demon Race was, and he also understood that their large-scale assault on the Crape Myrtle Empire was very likely closely connected to him.

He said in a deep voice, "Senior, I returned this time precisely to eliminate the demon calamity in the River Star Region. What advice do you have?"

Red Flame Saint Venerable smiled faintly, a trace of approval flashing through his eyes. He slowly said, "I have been locked in a standoff with Phoenix Heaven, that Demon Venerable of the Phoenix Clan, for decades. We are both High-level Saint Venerables, and neither can do anything to the other. Thus, if another person can break this deadlock, the battle can be decided."

He paused and looked at Xu Qing. "Therefore, this old man hopes you can be the one to break the deadlock. Among all the Saint Venerables, only you possess such ability. After all, almost no one but you could step into the Saint Venerable realm in merely a few hundred years."

Xu Qing could not help but smile wryly. "Why wouldn't this junior want to? But
