Ch. 61Heavyweight

Chen Ming defeated Ji Juechen by firing a Soul Cannon at close range, leaving both fighters injured. After they treated their wounds and recovered enough to move, the group settled down while Ji Juechen inspected his damaged longsword.

  • Chen Ming's close-range Soul Cannon blast scorched him and left Ji Juechen unable to fight, though Ji Juechen praised the battle and accepted its outcome.
  • Chen Ming treated his burns with ointment and gave Ji Juechen a pill that stabilized his Soul Power and eased his pain.
  • Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen checked on Chen Ming, while Jing Ziyan awkwardly confirmed Ji Juechen was all right.
  • Ji Juechen took out his Meteorite Iron Longsword and felt a dull ache as he saw how badly it had warped.

Ch. 62Oh ho, there's a hidden edition too?

Chen Ming offered Ji Juechen medicine after their spar, but Ji focused on maintaining his sword and described how he hoped to awaken its spirituality. Jing Ziyan explained the sword’s origins, and Chen Ming recognized the significance of spiritual forging before recounting an ancient example involving Lou Gao and Tang San.

  • Ji Juechen treated his sword with medicinal liquid and cloths instead of tending to his injuries.
  • Chen Ming offered Ji Juechen external medicine, but Ji declined so he could deepen his resonance with his sword.
  • Jing Ziyan explained that Ji had obtained the meteorite iron through teammate Xu Shuangping and had it forged into a sword by a Level 7 Soul Engineer from the Douluo Continent.
  • Jing Ziyan criticized the blacksmith’s spiritual forging and said Ji could have had the meteorite iron made into a powerful Close-Combat Soul Tool.
  • Chen Ming explained that Lou Gao had awakened the spirituality of Deep Sea Silver, which Tang San forged into the Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus, and wondered whether spiritual forging could benefit Soul Tools.

Ch. 63Divine Craftsman Long Silou

Jing Hongchen tracked down the blacksmith Lou Gao and discovered that he was actually Long Silou, the Blacksmith Association’s sole living Divine Craftsman. After learning that Long Silou had been charging Ji Juechen heavily for sword maintenance, Jing Hongchen treated the practice as familiar Soul Engineer business and left the matter unresolved.

  • A drunken blacksmith was startled when a visitor explained that Jing Hongchen was looking for him because of his blacksmithing.
  • Jing Hongchen entered the courtyard with Chen Ming and Ji Juechen, and the blacksmith introduced himself as Lou Gao, a Level 85 Soul Douluo and Level 7 Soul Engineer.
  • Jing Hongchen recognized that Lou Gao’s name matched that of a famous Divine Craftsman from ten thousand years earlier, prompting the old man to reveal that he was Long Silou, the current Divine Craftsman and joint president of the Blacksmith Associations.
  • Jing Hongchen presented Ji Juechen’s damaged sword to Long Silou, who recognized it as one he had forged half a month earlier.
  • Ji Juechen explained that Long Silou had sold him costly Sword Oil and maintenance supplies, and Jing Hongchen observed that Soul Engineers also earned substantial profits from after-sales repairs.

Ch. 64Tang Sect: Setting Facts Aside, Isn't What I Said Still the Truth?

Chen Ming corrected the history of Lou Gao’s sacrifice and discussed the lost tradition of awakening metal’s spirituality with Long Silou. Long Silou explained how Soul Tools had driven talented people away from blacksmithing, then recounted how he had reluctantly become a Divine Craftsman and president of the Blacksmith Association.

  • Long Silou described conflicting accounts of how Lou Gao awakened Deep Sea Silver and said the Blacksmith Association could no longer confirm what had happened.
  • Chen Ming stated that Lou Gao had sacrificed himself to provide the material for Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus and claimed his sect had firsthand records.
  • Long Silou accepted Chen Ming’s explanation after hearing that his ancestors had belonged to the Elephant Armored Sect and Holy Dragon Sect.
  • Jing Hongchen asked whether forging could awaken metal’s spirituality, and Long Silou explained the history and difficulty of the technique.
  • Long Silou said Soul Tools had drawn talented people away from blacksmithing and described how his teacher had led him into the trade before he became the Association’s president.

Ch. 65The Limitations of Blacksmiths

Long Silou explained the advantages and history of advanced blacksmithing to Jing Hongchen, who recognized the value of Spirit Forging and tried to recruit him into Mingde Hall. Long Silou wavered under Jing Hongchen’s offers but made his acceptance conditional on receiving a suitable personal disciple.

  • Long Silou explained how Thousand Forging metal outperformed ordinary purified metal, and Jing Hongchen examined a sample before taking it for himself.
  • Long Silou described Spirit Forging, the potential for spiritual metal to become a Metal Soul Beast, and how the Clear Sky Sect had destroyed a Divine Craftsman’s research after seizing such metal.
  • Long Silou showed Jing Hongchen a block of Spirit Forging Cloud Pattern Iron, whose properties astonished Jing Hongchen.
  • Jing Hongchen offered Long Silou a position in Mingde Hall and promised support for blacksmithing in the Sun Moon Empire.
  • Long Silou said he would consider joining if Jing Hongchen found him a suitable personal disciple to inherit his blacksmithing legacy.

Ch. 66You Covet My Principal, Don't Blame Me for Coveting Your Pension

Jing Hongchen brought the Divine Craftsman Long Silou to Mingde Hall, where he toured its Soul Tool research facilities alongside Chen Ming and the three student teams. Long Silou recognized how far specialized Soul Engineer research had surpassed traditional blacksmithing and saw an urgent need to combine the two fields.

  • Long Silou learned from Ji Juechen that Chen Ming had revealed his whereabouts, then warned Ji to be wary of her.
  • Jing Hongchen returned to campus with Long Silou, Chen Ming, and Ji Juechen and led them, along with three student teams, on a tour of Mingde Hall.
  • Jing Hongchen showed the visitors Mingde Hall's detection devices, transport vehicles, drones, milk bottles, and military Soul Tools.
  • Chen Ming admired the exhibits and decided to ask Jing Hongchen whether Mingde Hall had equipment suited to him.
  • Long Silou realized traditional blacksmithing was falling behind Soul Tool research and concluded that blacksmithing urgently needed to be integrated with Soul Tool techniques.
  • Long Silou took special notice of the carefree Xiao Hongchen during the tour.

Ch. 67Xiao Hongchen: I Think I Was Born to Be a Blacksmith (Gulp)

Long Silou persuaded Jing Hongchen to let Xiao Hongchen study blacksmithing after explaining how the Three-legged Golden Toad Martial Soul made him exceptionally suited to forging. Xiao Hongchen agreed to apprentice for a while, and Jing Hongchen also granted Chen Ming several privileges, leaving the group free to visit Mingde Hall.

  • Long Silou asked Jing Hongchen to let Xiao Hongchen become his disciple, startling Jing Hongchen during dinner.
  • Long Silou explained that Xiao Hongchen's mental strength and metal-sensing and controlling abilities made him a rare forging talent.
  • Jing Hongchen gave Long Silou permission to persuade Xiao Hongchen, while reserving the decision for later if Xiao Hongchen refused.
  • Long Silou displayed Thousand Forged metals, and Xiao Hongchen absorbed their energy and agreed to apprentice for a while.
  • Chen Ming asked to skip some classes and upgrade his equipment, and Jing Hongchen approved both requests and a visit to Mingde Hall.

Ch. 68Mammoth Buban

Chen Ming learned that Chen Buban had become the Dragon Elephant Sect’s newest Titled Douluo and celebrated with the sect in Mingdu. He then met Golden Bear Douluo, who gave him a birthday gift and admitted that he was still searching for a rare Soul Beast.

  • Chen Ming helped Jing Hongchen uncover two Soul Engineers selling Mingde Hall intelligence, and Jing Hongchen rewarded him with two sets of Soul Cannon Shells.
  • Jing Hongchen returned with Chen Buban, who had broken through to Titled Douluo and reached Level 92 after obtaining a Soul Ring and Soul Bone from a Ruijin Elephant.
  • Chen Ming celebrated Chen Buban’s promotion with Chen Li and Chen Buban by dining at famous restaurants and attending an auction in Mingdu.
  • Chen Li took Chen Ming to visit Golden Bear Douluo, who gave Chen Ming a Level 7 Invincible Shield Soul Tool as a belated birthday gift.
  • Chen Li asked Golden Bear Douluo about a rare Soul Beast, but Golden Bear Douluo said only that he hoped to find it soon.

Ch. 69Unexpected Development, Soul Ascension Pill, Level 20

After reaching Level 20 with a Soul Ascension Pill, Chen Ming set out with Chen Li, Chen Buban, and Jing Hongchen to hunt a rare Crit Bear for his third Soul Ring. They traveled to a dangerous region along the Sun Moon Empire’s border where the Soul Beast had been spotted.

  • Chen Ming continued cultivating and studying Soul Tools, reaching Level 19 as the school term resumed.
  • Chen Li arrived at Mingde Hall with news that a Crit Bear aged between 2,000 and 2,500 years had been spotted after a volcanic eruption and Soul Beast migration.
  • Chen Ming took the Soul Ascension Pill and refined it, advancing from Level 19 to Level 20.
  • Chen Li and Chen Buban brought Chen Ming and Jing Hongchen to a perilous border region to hunt the Crit Bear.
  • The chapter described how the collision of the Sun Moon and Douluo Continents had created unusual Soul Beast habitats and dangerous regions.

Ch. 70Sunken Valley: A Deadly Land

Chen Ming entered Sunken Valley with Chen Li, Chen Buban, Jing Hongchen, and Zhao Zhao to search for a special Soul Beast, and he began adapting to the valley’s extreme gravity. Zhao Zhao showed the group how the valley’s abundant Origin Energy had produced powerful, mutated Earth Attribute Soul Beasts.

  • Chen Ming learned that Sunken Valley’s abnormal gravity grew stronger toward its Core Area, where even powerful Soul Masters could die in anomalous regions.
  • Chen Li outfitted Chen Ming with Invincible Shields and protective gear, gave him medicine to stimulate his Soul Power, and led him into the valley with the others.
  • Chen Ming struggled against the gravity suppression, then adapted as the medicine and his circulating Soul Power helped support his body.
  • Zhao Zhao explained that the valley’s gravity and Origin Energy favored Earth Attribute Soul Beasts and caused them to mutate.
  • Zhao Zhao exposed a hidden Rock-Attribute Slime that had blended into the ground and formed a symbiotic relationship with plant-type Soul Beasts.

Ch. 71Bold Idea

Zhao Zhao demonstrated his strength by disabling a powerful Rock-Attribute Slime, while Chen Ming considered how a Soul Ring Storage Device could help him obtain Soul Rings. As the group explored Sunken Valley, Zhao Zhao explained its history and dangers, and Chen Ming found that the valley’s gravity and energy affected his own condition and cultivation.

  • Zhao Zhao struck the Rock-Attribute Slime from a distance, then examined it and kicked it into the forest alive so it could recover.
  • Chen Ming recalled Huo Yuhao’s Soul Ring Storage Device and considered using Soul Cannon Shells to kill suitable Soul Beasts and save their Soul Rings for later.
  • Chen Ming looked toward Jing Hongchen, who remained unaware that Chen Ming had set his sights on the unfinished Soul Ring Storage Device in Mingde Hall.
  • Zhao Zhao led the group through Sunken Valley and explained that human hunting had left its high-age Soul Beasts scarce and hidden.
  • Chen Ming learned that abnormal gravity made deep exploration dangerous and that his ability to adapt was limited as his medicine wore off.
  • Chen Ming discovered another benefit the valley offered him while cultivating that night.

Ch. 72Gravity Training, Ape Bear Fight

Chen Ming trained deeper in Sunken Valley as worsening earthquakes and signs of a major volcanic eruption drove Soul Beasts into a violent flight toward the outer region. After nearly a week, he found the Crit Bear facing a far larger ape, and the chapter left their fight about to begin.

  • Chen Ming trained under the valley’s increasing gravity while four Titled Douluo helped him advance into the deeper region.
  • Earthquakes and poisonous, elemental smoke intensified as Zhao Zhao captured an Earth Demon Bear and the group discussed the danger of an approaching eruption.
  • Chen Ming and the others hurried to intercept fleeing Soul Beasts and searched for the Crit Bear’s tracks.
  • Nearly a week after arriving, Chen Ming found the black-and-white Crit Bear facing a five-meter-tall, stone-bodied ape with much higher cultivation.

Ch. 73Cause of Death: Too Generous

Chen Ming’s group killed a mutated Crit Bear and Chen Ming absorbed its Soul Ring, gaining the Second Soul Skill Gravity Control. The group confirmed the skill could produce a range of gravity abilities as they remained in the unstable Sunken Valley.

  • The Crit Bear ambushed and killed the Giant Ape, then began eating its brain.
  • Chen Buban restrained the Crit Bear while Chen Ming and Chen Li confirmed its cultivation was within Chen Ming’s absorption range.
  • Chen Ming killed the restrained Crit Bear and absorbed its Purple Soul Ring under the protection of four Titled Douluo.
  • Chen Ming discovered that his Second Soul Skill was Gravity Control.
  • The group learned that mutated Crit Bears could derive many gravity abilities from Gravity Control, but were now left in the dangerous Sunken Valley.

Ch. 74Magma World, Fierce Beast Heavenly Tribulation

Chen Ming absorbed a mutated Crit Bear's Soul Ring and gained Gravity Control before Sunken Valley erupted in a catastrophic natural disaster. As the group fled, they witnessed a Molten Mountain Dragon confronting a Fierce Beast Heavenly Tribulation.

  • Chen Ming absorbed the mutated Crit Bear's Soul Ring, raised his Soul Power to level twenty-four, and gained Gravity Control.
  • Chen Li and the four Titled Douluo carried Chen Ming out of Sunken Valley as earthquakes and dark smoke spread through the area.
  • A lightning bolt struck the Core Area's Volcanic Crater, triggering an eruption of magma, earthquakes, and raging winds.
  • Jing Hongchen speculated that a fire-attributed Soul Beast was using lava to face a Fierce Beast Heavenly Tribulation.
  • Chen Li identified the creature as a likely Molten Mountain Dragon, and lightning blasts scattered its aerial magma shield to reveal its enormous, volcano-backed body.

Ch. 75Thunder Falls, Dragon Perishes, Old Acquaintances

The Molten Mountain Dragon devastated Sunken Valley while resisting his tribulation, then was killed by the God of Destruction after triggering Douluo Star’s laws. In the God Realm, Tang San and the God of Destruction argued over the intervention, and the God of Life arranged for Chen to return to Douluo Continent and repair its framework.

  • The Molten Mountain Dragon stirred the earth veins, causing eruptions and driving Sunken Valley’s Soul Beasts into a frenzy, while Chen Buban killed a Dragon Head Rat and a Rat Head Earth Dragon attacking near Chen Ming.
  • The God of Destruction’s divine lightning pierced the Molten Mountain Dragon’s defenses and killed him after his reckless extraction of the earth veins triggered Douluo Star’s laws.
  • Tang San challenged the God of Destruction for intervening in the lower realm, but the God of Destruction showed him the danger the dragon had caused.
  • Tang San and the God of Destruction disputed who should repair the damage, and the God of Life offered to send a Divine Official to restore the lower realm.
  • The God of Life chose Chen for the task, and Chen told Xixi that he had been asked to return to Douluo Continent and repair its framework.

Ch. 76What They Used to Call Me Sweetie, Now They Call Me Madam Niu

Bo Saixi reflected on how she and Tang Chen had been sidelined in the God Realm, while four Titled Douluo explored the devastated Sunken Valley and reported its godly power to the Sun Moon Empire. Emperor Xu Pingye ordered the valley sealed off for his own investigation, and word of the regiment’s movements began reaching other forces.

  • Bo Saixi recalled that she and Tang Chen had lost Tang San’s favor and remained weak Divine Officials after their former patrons left the God Realm.
  • Chen Li, Jing Hongchen, Zhao Zhao, and Chen Buban explored Sunken Valley, gathered remnants and information from its destructive terrain, then withdrew with Chen Ming.
  • Zhao Zhao reported the discovery to Emperor Xu Pingye, while Chen Li and Jing Hongchen sent their own letters describing destruction, a god, and a True Dragon.
  • Xu Pingye sent his swift Titled Douluo attendant to order the Clawed Soul Engineer Regiment to guard Sunken Valley and bar everyone from entering until the emperor had investigated.
  • Zhao Zhao mobilized the regiment to block routes to the valley, while a spy’s report about the regiment’s actions reached an evil-looking Soul Master in Mingdu.

Ch. 77An Intelligence Network Full of Holes

Zhongli Dong learned of the divine power in Sunken Valley and sent his three sons there to kill Xu Pingye and seize it, while Zhongli Wu continued refining a treasure beneath the Demonic Forest. As Sunken Valley’s unrest spread and the Star Luo Empire prepared to exploit the Sun Moon Empire’s weakness, the Zhongli Brothers attacked Swallow Douluo in the valley.

  • Zhongli Dong received intelligence about Sunken Valley, Xu Pingye, and the Clawed Soul Engineer Regiment, then ordered the Zhongli Brothers to help him pursue the power there.
  • Zhongli Dong declared his ambitions to overthrow Zhongli Wu and the Holy Spirit Cult’s leadership, and four top-tier Evil Soul Masters departed Mingdu for Sunken Valley.
  • Zhongli Wu sensed Zhongli Dong’s defiance but resumed refining his treasure in a blood pool beneath the Demonic Forest.
  • Xu Jiawei judged the Sun Moon Empire’s border deployments vulnerable, while Dai Hao received the emperor’s letter and secretly readied the White Tiger Army to seize territory.
  • The Zhongli Brothers confronted Swallow Douluo in Sunken Valley; he cut apart their Beast Spirits, but their bloody evil energy slowed him until his pendant Soul Tool swept it away.

Ch. 78Eight Hundred Thousand Against Six Hundred Thousand, the Advantage Is Mine(?)

Zhongli Dong and the Zhongli Brothers killed Swallow Douluo, then launched a surprise attack on the Clawed Soul Engineer Regiment. Zhongli Dong nearly killed Zhao Zhao in the opening ambush, but three enormous Martial Soul Avatars suddenly burst through nearby tents.

  • The Zhongli Brothers and Zhongli Dong overwhelmed Swallow Douluo, and Zhongli Dong used a Vengeful Spirit’s Soul Shattering Sound to seal his abilities as his Soul Cannon Shell exploded and killed him.
  • Zhongli Dong took Swallow Douluo’s Soul Bones and Storage Soul Tool, then ordered his sons to help him ambush the Clawed Soul Engineer Regiment and kill Golden Bear Douluo.
  • Zhongli Dong infiltrated the regiment’s camp under cover of the chaotic Soul Power fluctuations and attacked Zhao Zhao with an enhanced Vengeful Spirit.
  • Zhao Zhao was caught off guard and badly wounded, but he activated his Martial Soul Avatar to halt his decline as the regiment’s guards rushed to help him.
  • Three enormous Martial Soul Avatars burst through two tents near Zhongli Dong and Zhao Zhao.

Ch. 79Enemy at the Imperial Palace, Mother, Save Me

Zhao Zhao’s desperate strike devastated Zhongli Dong’s undead horde, and Chen Buban nearly crushed him before Zhongli Dong escaped underground with a Level 9 Invincible Shield. Cornered and distrusted by the Zhongli Brothers, Zhongli Dong summoned his Life-Bound Vengeful Spirit and called for his mother, but a blue glow suddenly changed her expression.

  • Zhao Zhao recognized dead comrades among Zhongli Dong’s spirits and sacrificed his strength to destroy most of the undead horde, then collapsed and was caught by Jing Hongchen.
  • Chen Buban charged Zhongli Dong, tore apart his Netherworld Snake body, and attempted to finish him with Crushing Kill, but an automatically activated Level 9 Invincible Shield let Zhongli Dong escape underground.
  • Jing Hongchen realized Zhongli Dong had used the shield to evade the crushing attack, while Zhongli Dong fled beneath the battlefield and vowed revenge.
  • Zhongli Dong resurfaced and ordered the Zhongli Brothers to come to him, but they kept their distance, suspecting he meant to devour them for energy.
  • With the Clawed Soul Engineer Regiment recovering and reinforcements approaching, Zhongli Dong summoned his Life-Bound Vengeful Spirit and cried, “Mother, save me!”; a faint blue light flashed in her eyes.

Ch. 80Tearfully Looting the Bodies, Tang Sect Secrets, and the Fate of the Four Great Clans

After Zhongli Wu and his brothers escaped, Jing Hongchen returned to camp with Zhao Zhao near death and evidence that the Evil Soul Masters possessed an Imperial-family Soul Tool. Chen Li then found Tang Sect manuals among their spoils and explained the Tang Sect’s history, the Four Great Clans’ decline, and how Swallow Douluo was connected to the Speed Clan.

  • Zhongli Wu killed Zhongli Dong, sealed his soul inside his heart, and fled with Zhongli Tian and their brother while their abandoned Beast Spirits delayed the pursuers.
  • Chen Li shielded the Clawed Soul Engineer Regiment from exploding Beast Spirits, and Jing Hongchen later returned after failing to catch the escaping Evil Soul Masters.
  • Jing Hongchen placed the dying Zhao Zhao in a Stasis Field, killed the unconscious Qian Hongchen, and left for Mingdu with Zhao Zhao while Chen Li and Chen Buban stayed with the regiment and kept Chen Ming nearby.
  • Jing Hongchen found a Level 9 Invincible Shield made for the Imperial Family among the Evil Soul Masters’ possessions, and Chen Li discovered Tang Sect secret manuals in Zhongli Dong’s Storage Soul Tool.
  • Chen Li told Chen Ming that the Tang Sect’s arms dealing and investment in Blue Silver Grass had drained resources from the Four Great Clans, whose descendants were cursed after leaving the sect and eventually died out.
  • Chen Li identified Swallow Douluo as a descendant of the Speed Clan and said the emperor had likely bought him after he was trafficked and sold into a brothel.
