Both Feet Left the Ground, Right?

Chu Yunyi had no idea what Doberman and the others were talking about.

He only knew that a fight was unavoidable.

The monster before him had already charged at them, while the other creature, called Tumor, was still roaming nearby.

The Brute Force aberrant creature had already charged right up to them.

Doberman raised his mechanical arms and slammed them down with all his might.

But unlike the skeleton they had fought earlier,

this aberrant creature, Brute Force, wasn't even budged by the blow.

It was like an ant trying to topple a tree.

It didn't react at all.

Meanwhile, Greyhound was incredibly fast, moving so quickly that he left a blur behind.

He darted straight behind Brute Force.

A small knife appeared silently in Greyhound's hand. He wanted to strike Brute Force's hind legs.

But the monster was not only heavily armored; it was also fast.

It raised its right leg and kicked toward Greyhound.

Greyhound abruptly changed direction, narrowly avoiding the blow.

Boom!

Doberman slammed his fists into Brute Force again.

This only made it stagger slightly, though. The attack had little effect.

Meanwhile,

the Tumor aberrant creature looked just like a slime from a monster anime, all over.

But—

it was absolutely disgusting.

Chu Yunyi grimaced at the sight.

Golden Retriever, standing nearby, took off the backpack he had been carrying and began rummaging through it.

Just then,

Teddy stepped in front of Golden Retriever.

He raised his long, slender blade-like hands, seemingly trying to hold Tumor off for a while.

But he looked deeply strained, as if the monster before them were an unbeatable foe.

Chu Yunyi spoke up.

"If it's a living thing, it should be possible to kill it, right?"

To Teddy, those words sounded like foolish bravado from someone who didn't know what he was talking about.

"Of course you'd say that. You have no idea."

"This thing is impossible to deal with. Just the fact that it can regenerate endlessly... it'll take out the whole team!"

Teddy bared his teeth.

He looked as if he were facing a great enemy, trying to anticipate every movement the creature made.

He no longer had the mind to talk to Chu Yunyi.

Seeing this, Chu Yunyi didn't know what to say, so he simply watched in silence.

None of this really mattered to him.

He could open a space entrance whenever he wanted. He could fight or run.

All he cared about was Credit Points.

The things in this world couldn't simply be picked up and used.

They had to be activated with Credit Points.

If he could get a pirated system or something like an activation code, there'd be no need to come here and kill aberrant creatures.

Unfortunately, Chu Yunyi knew nothing about that.

As he pondered this,

Doberman was already locked in fierce close combat with Brute Force.

Though, strictly speaking, it wasn't exactly hand-to-hand combat.

After all, roughly thirty or forty percent of Doberman's body was made up of mechanical prosthetics.

Over there, Doberman and Greyhound were locked in a constant struggle with Brute Force.

Over here,

Tumor wasn't sitting idle either.

It fixed its sights on Golden Retriever, who was rummaging through his backpack, and Pomeranian, who had no intention of fighting.

Tumor charged straight at them.

The aberrant creature leaped high into the air, trying to jump over Teddy and attack Golden Retriever and Pomeranian behind him.

Whoosh!

Tumor came hurtling through the air, its enormous body about to crash down on them.

But Chu Yunyi reacted quickly, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly.

"You just lifted both feet off the ground, right?"

If it was in the air, then no matter what it was...it counted as a flying object!

Ability activated!

In an instant,

Chu Yunyi raised his hand high.

As he swung his arm, a massive Wind Wall appeared.

Without warning.

And without any scientific explanation.

A Wind Wall stood there out of nowhere.

If not for the dust swirling around it, no one would have noticed the invisible barrier.

"..."

The aberrant creature called Tumor had leaped high into the air.

But it was suddenly suspended in place, unable to move forward.

It was as if an invisible hand had seized it and held it fast in the air, leaving it completely unable to move.

At the sight of this,

the entire team was stunned. They stared at the astonishing spectacle as if they were witnessing a miracle.

But then, belatedly, they began to process what had happened.

Golden Retriever kept rummaging through his things, glancing at Chu Yunyi from time to time.

He really didn't lie to me.

Is this an alien's superpower? It really doesn't make any sense. Golden Retriever stared blankly for a moment, then continued rummaging through his backpack.

Pomeranian, standing nearby, also looked startled.

A hint of surprise appeared on her usually stern face.

"What's going on?"

"Did this aberrant creature evolve the ability to fly?"

Meanwhile,

Tumor, suspended in midair, had reached a spot directly above Teddy.

Teddy hesitated for a few seconds.

Then he swung his blade-like hands. Two fierce slashes cut through the air.

With his ten fingers crossed,

he unleashed ten slashes.

The Tumor hanging in midair was instantly sliced into ten pieces.

But Tumor—

as the pieces fell to the ground, they gradually formed separate bodies instead of dying.

Chu Yunyi watched closely, remembering what Teddy had said earlier.

In the next moment,

eight pieces of Tumor gradually fused back together, recovering much of its original size.

And the other two pieces

ran off in opposite directions, trying to complete their original task: attacking Pomeranian and Golden Retriever, who were unable to fight back.

Just then,

"Found it..."

Golden Retriever looked a little embarrassed. He felt he was taking far too long to find what he needed.

But he hadn't realized that the others couldn't care less about that.

After all, they were at a critical moment.

Golden Retriever slowly pulled a square metal box from his backpack. It gleamed silver.

It didn't look like some kind of technological device.

It looked more like a perfectly crafted piece of art.

The personal terminal in Golden Retriever's head connected directly to the box.

The next moment,

the box began to vibrate on its own.

"Get out of the way!"

Golden Retriever shouted.

He was telling Teddy, who was in front of him, to move quickly.

Hearing this,

Teddy didn't tense up. Instead, he seemed relieved.

Teddy shifted to the right.

The box thrown toward them tumbled through the air, vibrating continuously.

Then,

the box visibly swelled.

In an instant, it grew several times larger.

It looked just like an iron cage.

As it opened and closed,

it swallowed the aberrant creature called Tumor whole.

Chu Yunyi watched the whole thing, looking calm and relaxed.

But he still felt that something was too easy about this, and that it didn't fit with how tense the team had been earlier.

"Come help!" Doberman shouted amid the chaos.
