Spacetime Distorters

Chu Yunyi had just left the Star Core Void Guardian Base in his newly repaired Star Dome-V when he received an urgent distress signal from the Star Track Civilization Belt. This star domain, renowned for its precise star-track navigation, had recently lost contact with more than thirty inhabited planets. The last images they sent back showed countless silver Star Track Parasitic Insects crawling along the planets' energy pathways. Wherever they passed, energy facilities went limp like bodies drained of blood.

When Star Dome-V reached Vega III, at the edge of the Star Track Civilization Belt, Chu Yunyi's pupils contracted at the sight before him. A layer of silver Parasitic Membrane covered the planet's once azure surface. Its Satellite Navigation System had long since failed, and the hulls of space stations drifting in orbit were covered in the egg sacs of Star Track Parasitic Insects. They teetered like hollowed-out beehives. The ship's scanners showed that an Unknown Power was slowly devouring the planet's Energy Core, with its readings dropping by twenty percent every hour.

"These parasites can invade a planet's core through its energy pathways, gradually sucking away its nourishment like vines strangling a tree." Chu Yunyi brought up a close-up of the Star Track Parasitic Insects. They were less than half a meter long, with streamlined bodies, a sharp Energy Piercing Needle on each head, and the ability to secrete silver Parasitic Mucus from their tails. Once hardened, the mucus formed a Parasitic Membrane that cut off the planet's energy exchange with the outside. Worse still, the scanners had detected a Collective Consciousness Signal coming from deep within the planet. It seemed that a Star Track Parasitic Mother Nest, commanding all the parasites, was hidden near Vega III's core.
