The Sound Wave of a Swarm of Bees

Heitu Town, bathroom at home.

With the sound of flushing, Chu Yunyi emptied out the reserves in his stomach.

For Chu Yunyi, he had to do this once or twice a day, or else he would feel uncomfortable all over.

Chu Yunyi saw a hyena dozing in the distance.

At the sight of the hyena.

Chu Yunyi could not help asking a question from the depths of his soul:

"Is this still the country? Where the hell did you send me?"

But Chu Yunyi did not dwell on it and directly dragged out the Gluttony patients' corpses.

A deafening burst of buzzing bees rang out, making Chu Yunyi's ears suffer.

Chu Yunyi raised his brows as he looked at the Little Bee.

He had not expected it to be exactly as the gun shop owner said—the gunshot really did sound like bees.

That commotion.

Seemed to stir quite a few things that had been lying dormant.

Feeling a gaze fall upon him, Chu Yunyi looked in that direction.

It was a person, and someone he knew.

He saw.

A corner of the curtains slowly pull back from behind a window covered by security bars, revealing a fat face.

She was a middle-aged woman with a somewhat kindly expression.

Chu Yunyi knew her. She ran a tofu shop in town, and her family only sold fresh tofu every day. The townspeople all called her Auntie Pang.

Her children all worked elsewhere. She sold tofu every day and lived a fairly leisurely life.

Seeing Auntie Pang show herself, Chu Yunyi asked with a grin:

Upon reaching the third floor, he found one apartment door that had been violently torn open, its lock deformed.

The occupants had probably opened the door without knowing what was happening, only for a Gluttony patient to yank it open.

The smell of blood mixed with the odor of an old person entered Chu Yunyi's nose.

Perhaps this had been the home of an elderly person living alone.

Chu Yunyi looked around. The apartment was empty, and even the bloodstains looked as though they had been cleaned away.

Then he saw the refrigerator standing wide open, completely devoid of food.

The bloodstains had not been cleaned away. Perhaps the Gluttony patient had licked them up...

Chu Yunyi clicked his tongue softly and headed upstairs with his gun.

When he reached the fourth floor.

A faint snoring sound drifted over.

All three apartment doors on the fourth floor had been destroyed. The sound was coming from apartment 402.

Chu Yunyi poked his head inside.

Then he saw a gigantic thing occupying nearly half the living room.

It was like an inflated Snorlax.

Only, it was more humanoid, even carrying a horrifying filter over it.

The Gluttony patient lay on its side. After Chu Yunyi entered the apartment, he could not even tell where its head was.

This Gluttony patient seemed to be asleep.

It snored, completely letting down its guard.

Chu Yunyi quietly walked to its side.

He raised the Little Bee, aimed at the disgusting creature's head, and gently pulled the trigger.

Then.

A sound wave of frenzied bees surged forth!
