Elsewhere, Constantine hung up the phone in the hotel and hurried toward the tightly curtained window.
The woman sitting by the bed quickly stood up and asked anxiously, "How was it? Is he willing to help?"
"Of course. He's an old friend of mine!"
Constantine answered casually as he reached out with his right hand, yanked open the curtains, and looked up at the sky outside.
Sure enough, a dark red vortex was slowly spinning in the sky not far from the hotel.
An evil aura from Hell seeped out of the vortex. Even from several hundred meters away, they seemed able to smell that pungent scent of sulfur...
Constantine frowned, his expression turning incomparably grim.
Without hesitation, he immediately turned around, grabbed the woman by the wrist, and dragged her toward the door.
The woman looked stunned. Stumbling along behind him, she asked in panic, "What exactly happened?"
"It's Balthazar!"
Without looking back, Constantine said, "He's summoning his Hellish lackeys!"
The woman's face went pale as she asked in a trembling voice, "Is he coming for us?"
Constantine snapped, "Obviously!"
Seemingly at a loss, the woman asked with a pale face, "Then what do we do now?"
"What else can we do?"
Constantine said without hesitation, "Run!"
He had just taken out more than a dozen imps that had chased after them. His ammunition was severely depleted, and he desperately needed more holy water. Against a true demon of Hell like Balthazar, he could at most protect himself. It would be difficult to protect Angela as well.
Hearing Constantine's words, Angela nodded repeatedly.
But she soon remembered the phone call from earlier and hurriedly asked:
"What about your friend?"
"Don't worry!"
Constantine said without hesitation, "The Lord will watch over him!"
He could tell that Su Haoming was a
