Constantine looked utterly baffled. "Why?"
"Because you have other things to do..."
Bruce raised his head and looked coldly at the huge hole in the ceiling. "Mammon is Satan's son. He joined forces with Gabriel in an attempt to descend upon the human world. He probably never reported that to his father, did he?"
"Definitely not!"
Constantine answered instinctively, then quickly came to his senses and said warily, "Wait, Bruce, you're not planning to have me contact Satan and tell him this, are you?"
"No. I'm absolutely not doing that!"
Constantine shook his head like a rattle drum.
That plan of pitting one enemy against another was certainly feasible, but he had to remember that he and Satan had quite a history too. Satan had even declared in Hell that he would personally take Constantine's soul after he died.
In terms of sheer hatred, Constantine ranked far above Mammon.
If Satan really showed up, who knew who he would deal with first!
"What, the world's greatest mage is afraid of Satan too?"
"Listen to that. If you'd ever praised me before, I might've actually fallen for your provocation!"
"..."
Bruce gave him a deep look, then turned around and said blandly with his back to him, "Now I finally understand why Heaven refused to let you in..."
With that, he started walking toward the elevator not far away.
Constantine froze at those words, then said unhappily, "Hey, Bruce, what do you mean by that?"
Bruce ignored Constantine, strode into the elevator, pressed the button, then turned around calmly and looked at Constantine in the Batcave.
"I'm heading to the TV Tower now. As for you..."
"If you really don't care about Angela's life, then hurry up and run!"
Before he could finish, the silver alloy doors shut completely, swallowing Bruce
