Over the past six years, Su Lie had relied on his [Great Fortune] trait to successfully become the City Lord of Aolai City four years ago.
And throughout those six years, whenever he encountered something involving chance, he always won the top prize. That continued until the day of his Martial Soul awakening.
Given his luck, he would awaken an incredibly powerful Martial Soul next. Then all sorts of fortunate opportunities would come his way, and with those opportunities, he would quickly repair this shattered small world. After that, he would become the strongest in the world and beat up those little punks.
As Su Hao stood before the special passageway of the Spirit Pagoda, lost in his fantasies, a hand suddenly landed on his shoulder and interrupted his thoughts. Then he heard that familiar voice.
"Little Hao, what are you thinking about? I called you several times just now, but you didn't respond?"
"We'll take the special passage to awaken your Martial Soul. You won't need to line up with those ordinary people."
Hearing Su Lie's words, Su Hao immediately collected himself and replied,
"Ah, it's nothing. I was just wondering what kind of Martial Soul I might awaken."
After hearing Su Hao's words, Su Lie comforted him.
"Haha, with Little Hao's luck, your Martial Soul surely won't be too bad. At the very least, it should be a high-grade Martial Soul."
"All right, Little Hao. Your Spirit Master is here. Go awaken your Martial Soul with him."
As they spoke, Su Lie looked toward a Spirit Master dressed in white not far ahead and spoke to Su Hao.
When that Spirit Master saw Su Lie, he hurried over and respectfully said,
"Greetings, City Lord Su. I am the Spirit Master responsible for awakening Young Master Su's Martial Soul. Please allow me to take Young Master Su to undergo his awakening."
Hearing this, Su Lie nodded and had Su Hao follow the Spirit Master to awaken his Martial Soul.
Very quickly, Su Hao was led by the Spirit Master into an awakening room. Then, the Spirit Master said to him,
"Young Master Su, please stand in the center of this six-pointed star. I will assist with the awakening of your Martial Soul."
Upon hearing that, Su Hao immediately walked to the center of the six-pointed star formation.
"All right, I'm starting now. Calm your mind and focus."
The Spirit Master reminded Su Hao, then activated his Soul Power. A ball of white light bloomed in his hand. He spoke softly and tossed the ball of light into the air. It immediately burst like fireworks, and the surrounding demonic runes absorbed its power and lit up at once. Soul Power flowed through winding, crisscrossing patterns before finally converging beneath Su Hao's feet.
Su Hao's entire body trembled. He felt a warm force, tinged with numbness, surge into his body from the soles of his feet. It was as if some powerful force within him was awakening, about to burst from his body, causing him considerable pain.
Everything before his eyes suddenly blurred. Su Hao found himself seemingly transported into the vast and boundless void of the universe. Stars flickered around him, while spaces like mirrors surrounded his body. Each mirror had silver edges and a black hollow at its center. When Su Hao focused on one of those hollows, the scene before him changed again. Skies, land, rivers, oceans, and strange-looking creatures appeared...
It seemed that every hollow was connected to a new world.
The lights and shadows flickered rapidly. Before long, Su Hao's consciousness felt somewhat lonely as he returned to reality.
Seeing Su Hao awaken, the Spirit Master let out a breath of relief and asked,
"Young Master Su, do you feel any discomfort?"
Su Hao sensed his condition and discovered that the Heart of the Heavenly Dao, whose energy he had exhausted six years ago, had become his Martial Soul. It had even begun slowly absorbing the scattered energy around it. Delighted, he said,
"I don't feel any discomfort. On the contrary, my whole body feels warm and incredibly comfortable."
Hearing this, the Spirit Master was reassured and explained to Su Hao,
"Young Master Su, your Martial Soul awakening is complete. According to our Spirit Pagoda's observations, it is highly likely to be a mutated Body Martial Soul—your heart."
As he spoke, the Spirit Master pointed to Su Hao's left chest.
Su Hao lowered his head and looked at his left chest, only to discover five different lights flickering within it. That was precisely where his heart was located.
As Su Hao looked at his left chest, the Spirit Master continued,
"Young Master Su, there's no need to worry. According to our observations, it is highly likely that your heart has mutated and awakened the power to control five elements. This is considered a benign mutation."
The Spirit Master paused after finishing.
"Next, let me test your Soul Power."
The Spirit Master then took out an unknown Soul Tool from nearby and handed it to Su Hao, asking him to inject some Soul Power into it.
After taking it, Su Hao infused the Soul Tool with a trace of Soul Power. Soon, a display on the Soul Tool showed the number ten.
Level ten!
This was Su Hao's Innate Soul Power.
Upon seeing that Su Hao possessed Innate Full Soul Power, the Spirit Master immediately began entertaining thoughts of recruiting Su Hao into the Spirit Pagoda.
That way, not only would he receive a reward from the Spirit Pagoda, but if Su Hao became part of its upper ranks in the future, he would also have a share of the credit.
With that in mind, the Spirit Master extended an invitation to Su Hao.
After hearing the Spirit Master invite him to join the Spirit Pagoda, Su Hao thought it over. He had no conflicts with the Spirit Pagoda, and he also looked down on the conduct of Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect. Furthermore, he had his eye on the Spirit Ascension Platform's small world within the Spirit Pagoda, as well as the Myriad Beast Platform, another small world Gu Yuena would develop in the future. They would be perfect for him to devour and use to repair his own Small Plane.
Wouldn't the Spirit Pagoda be his to command by then?
With that thought in mind, Su Hao accepted the Spirit Master's invitation.
When the Spirit Master saw that Su Hao had accepted, he immediately became even more respectful and said,
"Young Master Su, I will now report to headquarters and process your enrollment. If nothing unexpected happens, your proof of enrollment and benefits should be delivered to your home within a week."
Seeing that Su Hao was becoming somewhat impatient, the Spirit Master hurriedly wrapped up the rest of his words. He then led Su Hao back to Su Lie, said a few flattering things, and took his leave.
When Su Lie learned that Su Hao had joined the Spirit Pagoda, he did not ask many questions. From the moment he had decided to adopt Su Hao, Su Lie had known that Su Hao did not belong to the same world as him. After all, no one could use such Soul Skills right after being born.
Over the years, through his observations of Su Hao, he had realized that Su Hao's background was extraordinarily powerful. After all, no one could go from childhood to adulthood without ever falling ill while also being so lucky. Coupled with the disappearance of the God Realm thousands of years ago, Su Hao was very likely a Son of God.
Su Lie showed no dissatisfaction with this whatsoever. Instead, he expressed his support for Su Hao.
