Background

Lu Lin was the sole survivor when the Evil Soul Master Tang Fozi slaughtered his village and used its inhabitants, including Lu Lin's parents, as sacrifices for his advancement. Shrek's Titled Douluo and Star Luo law enforcement arrived only after Tang Fozi had fled; Lu Lin was subsequently sent to the Imperial Orphanage in Frostwind City. His driving objective became killing Tang Fozi personally to avenge his parents. 1

At age six, Lu Lin awakened the Pure Fire Green Lotus with Innate Soul Power Level 4 and enrolled at Frostwind Junior Soul Master Academy. Though he initially regarded his talent as mediocre, an Avatar Game panel enabled him to create and control Ji Ming, an incarnation with the Dark Demon Dreadclaw Bear and Necromancer's Heavy Eyes Twin Martial Souls. 1 2

Lu Lin split his consciousness so that his main body and Ji Ming could act simultaneously. The process caused severe pain and disorientation, but let him accumulate the cultivation, combat, and learning experiences of both bodies. 3

He entered blacksmithing through Liu Yanchi's introduction and became Zhao Shiyan's apprentice at the Giant Rock Blacksmith Shop. Forging strengthened his physique, made his soul power more active and pure, and accelerated his cultivation. 7 8

After entering Shrek Academy, Lu Lin became Class Two's vice-class monitor following his display of Buddha Fury Red Lotus. He later revealed his evolved Martial Soul and Innate Full Soul Power to Xiao Jin, while withholding the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eyes and the full circumstances behind his transformation. 27 38

Lu Lin has a delicate, youthful face and initially retained noticeable baby fat. His slim appearance conceals unusually vigorous blood vitality and a physique strengthened by cultivation and forging. 5 13

Lu Lin is intensely self-disciplined. Even when peers considered his cultivation ceiling fixed by his low Innate Soul Power, he spent nearly every free moment meditating, cultivating, or forging. 5

He is pragmatic and goal-oriented, refusing opportunities that conflict with his priorities. He declined Xu Ting's offer to teach him Soul Tool crafting because he needed to focus on forging and meeting Shrek Academy's entry requirements; he also stopped arena challenges after earning the Silver Soul Master Badge despite further offers. 16 23

Although outwardly composed and polite, Lu Lin is secretive about his avatar system, Body Sect ties, and exceptional resources. He deliberately maintains the appearance that Ji Ming and himself are separate people. 31 32 38
