A formation disk. This must be the disk for the formation he'd just encountered.
Formation Arrays were worth a fortune and required a great many materials, but formation disks were especially difficult to refine.
The Artifact Refiner had to be well-versed in Formation Arrays and understand the properties of various spiritual materials used to set them up. Only then could they faithfully reproduce the formation's evolution and flow without error.
Yun Shu had already witnessed the formation's power. It had been utterly overwhelming. Without high-grade Talismans—and enough strength of his own—he would have had a hard time breaking out. And if he hadn't managed to escape, he would have become one of those dozen or so Talisman Puppets.
The formation attacked Mental Energy, and its designer had truly been a rare talent. They had simply put that talent to the wrong use. If they had followed the righteous path, they would naturally have been a respected Formation Master.
Yun Shu put the formation disk away for future study.
A demonic art.
It was called Azure Water Art.
This was a Water Attribute Demonic Path Cultivation Art. Yun Shu skimmed through it; most of the text described how to refine Demonic Energy.
Demonic arts had no aptitude requirements, no threshold, and none of the obstacles that usually came with cultivation. One could advance in a single, uninterrupted rush. As long as you weren't afraid of advancing too quickly and rousing an Inner Demon, reaching Golden Core overnight was entirely possible.
Yun Shu didn't dare touch the art just yet. He would have to wait until he reached Golden Core Stage and completed the forging of his Immortal Body. Perhaps then he could give it a try.
There were also several Spell Techniques.
They all seemed rather extreme.
There was no denying
