"Do you think Hertz will be alright?" After the Gravity Spaceship vanished into the horizon, Sephiria asked Roland.
Roland blinked. "Probably. If something really does happen to him, we can still use Earth's Dragon Balls to revive him."
Hearing this, Sephiria felt an immediate sense of relief. She steeled her resolve and said, "Roland, attack my chest."
"Are you sure about this?" Roland eyed Sephiria's proud chest. Her exquisite, well-proportioned figure was incredibly alluring; the only flaw was that eyesore of a combat suit. The Frieza Force armor possessed no charm whatsoever.
Sephiria pursed her lips and bit down lightly. "Come on, I'm ready."
Seeing Sephiria's disregard for everything in her pursuit of power, Roland nodded slightly and placed his hand against her chest. The light contact made Sephiria's body tremble, but she looked back at him with a firm expression.
"Starting now."
Roland carefully released a wave of energy.
Hah! A deep blue beam of energy pierced through Sephiria's body, and bright red blood splattered into the air. Sephiria's face turned deathly pale in an instant. Roland quickly had her bite into a Senzu Bean, and only when the rosy color returned to her cheeks did he finally let out a sigh of relief.
"I almost thought I'd have to use the Dragon Balls to bring you back."
Sephiria offered him a faint, flower-like smile. "I'm not that fragile."
They repeated the process, and Sephiria pushed herself to the brink of death several more times until her power reached 18,000. At that point, her energy stopped increasing. This was the combat power Vegeta possessed when he invaded Earth, yet Sephiria had reached it years ahead of schedule.
Next was Roland; he also wanted to try this cheat-like method of improvement. But just in case, he took out the communicator he used to contact Tights and handed it to Sephiria, instructing her that if anything happened to him, she must have Tights collect the Dragon Balls to revive him.
Sephiria took the communicator and tucked it away. She condensed a cluster of energy rays between her slender fingers, and Roland nodded firmly.
"You can start."
With a squelch, the taste of blood instantly flooded his mouth. Roland's brain spun with dizziness, and he felt as if his soul were leaving his body. The feeling of near-death was completely different from being severely wounded; that pale, helpless sensation felt as if it were tearing his soul apart, as if his entire body no longer belonged to him.
In a hazy blur, an anxious voice echoed in his ears.
It was Sephiria, calling out to him.
Roland snapped back to reality and struggled to bite into the Senzu Bean in his mouth. In his mental sea, a Great Ape seemed to appear, roaring in fury, and his potential was instantly ignited. Once his body recovered, Roland couldn't help but feel a lingering fear; this half-dead state was absolutely terrible.
Shaking his head, Roland sighed. After enduring several more attacks from Sephiria, his combat power finally settled at 3,600!
"For someone with the aptitude of a mid-level warrior, I suppose I've done quite well," Roland said, lying in Sephiria's arms while twirling her soft hair with his fingers.
Sephiria shoved him away. "Mid-level warrior? I'm starting to suspect you're a high-level one."
Roland spun in mid-air, landed, and chuckled. "By birth, I am indeed a mid-level warrior."
Sephiria rolled her eyes at him. After some playful banter, the siblings began discussing their training. Although the Saiyan method of cultivation wasn't as refined as that of Earthlings, as a warrior race, their combat techniques and exercise patterns were still worth deep study.
In the days that followed, Roland and Sephiria stayed on Planet Frie to master their newfound power.
Sometimes, Roland would visit the nearby Planet Kasha to check on the Saiyans there. Seeing them living obediently and peacefully, he would return with peace of mind.
With his strength greatly increased, the energy within Roland had become incredibly vast. Now, using the "Transfer Technique" was much easier than before, and he didn't need to supplement with Senzu Beans when traveling between Planet Frie and Planet Kasha.
Crack, crack, crack!
Crisp sounds like popping beans rang out from all over Roland's body.
During this period, he had thoroughly mastered his power.
Whoosh!
A surge of power suddenly erupted, causing the surrounding earth to tremble slightly. It was like throwing a stone into a calm lake, sending ripples of intense energy outward. Influenced by this powerful force, smaller rocks began to float upward as if gravity had ceased to exist.
Feeling the surging, vast power within his body, Roland burst into laughter.
Just then, a layer of white light suddenly appeared around him, and a series of profound and mysterious knowledge flooded into his mind. The influx of massive information left Roland feeling dizzy, but after carefully checking it, a look of wild joy appeared on his face.
"Hahaha, good things come in pairs! This information is actually the knowledge mastered by Earth's Kami."
The profound and mysterious knowledge seemed to be imprinted on his brain. The core of it was the application of "Ki," accompanied by many exquisite techniques and insights into one's state of mind. With a quick glance, Roland found he had memorized it all.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, and Sephiria's graceful figure appeared beside him, her face also filled with joy. "Roland, a lot of knowledge has appeared in my brain..."
Roland said, "This is the most exquisite martial arts from Earth. It seems Hertz succeeded in getting the Dragon Balls."
"It's too amazing. If I train according to these methods, my power can increase by another huge margin!" Sephiria's rosy lips trembled slightly, and a radiant light of joy shone in her bright eyes.
Roland smiled as he looked at the pleasantly surprised Sephiria; she looked beautiful when she smiled, despite her usually arrogant nature.
Earthlings were not born with great power like aliens or Saiyans. Martial artists like Master Roshi had to train tirelessly for fifty or sixty years to develop Ki. Their naturally fragile physiques forced Earthlings to research in the direction of refinement; they couldn't afford to waste a single bit of energy, which was why their research into Ki was so profound.
The greatest characteristic of Earth martial arts was using the weak to defeat the strong, erupting with greater power from a smaller base.
Ordinary aliens and Saiyans would experience a "Ki Burst" when their emotions fluctuated intensely, but only a few planets could utilize this technique to its absolute limit, and Earth was one of them.
"With this knowledge in my head, I realize how crude my use of energy was before. No, I need to go into seclusion for a while; I must master all of this." Sephiria was decisive; she did whatever she set her mind to.
Roland stopped her. "Wait, sister. There's no rush for seclusion. You should first properly organize the memories in your brain."
"Uh..."
Hearing Roland's words, Sephiria's pretty face flushed, and she immediately realized her mistake. She wondered why she had become so impatient that she even needed her younger brother to remind her.
