Roland and Tights stayed on Planet Bani for a while. When they met Jaco again, his spaceship was still being repaired in the shipyard. When they asked how much longer it would take, Jaco grimaced and said he had no idea.
Tights said, "I don't think you should bother repairing it. Why not apply to Galactic Patrol Headquarters for a replacement? Think of all the things you could do with the time you're wasting on repairs."
"That's right! I'm an elite member of the Galactic Patrol, and there are plenty of planets waiting for me to protect them. How could I waste my time fixing a spaceship? For the sake of those planets, I should apply for a new one."
As if he'd finally found a reason to replace his spaceship, Jaco slapped his palm in sudden realization.
"I only said you shouldn't waste time. Did you really just call yourself an elite?" Watching Jaco seize on her words and run with them, Tights rolled her eyes in exasperation. If everyone in the Galactic Patrol was like him, the organization might as well disband.
Jaco gave an embarrassed chuckle, then tried to borrow money. This time, Roland flatly refused. His money didn't grow on trees. Buying Tights a few gifts was one thing—she was a beautiful woman, after all, and investing in her might bring a good return someday. But Jaco was another matter. Roland had no interest in a wild "Ultraman."
Unable to borrow money, Jaco smacked his lips and went inside to tell the aliens repairing his spaceship to stop.
"Boss, what do you think of my spaceship? It's one of the Galactic Patrol's standard models, so its performance is pretty good... How much would you be willing to pay for it?"
Jaco tried to sell his spaceship.
