After walking along the deep, winding corridor for several minutes, Roland followed Whis into a spacious palace. Rocks the size of small mountains floated around them, and atop the tallest of those hills stood a bed, where Beerus, the God of Destruction, slept.
Roland swept his gaze ahead and saw Beerus curled up, snoring softly.
Two enormous hourglasses stood on either side. Their crystal-clear sand trickled downward like flowing water, and many more hourglasses like them filled the entire space. Once their timers ran out, they would release massive explosions capable of destroying planets.
"This God of Destruction, Beerus... compared to Champa, he's the other extreme."
"He's as skinny as a dried corpse."
Roland curiously studied Beerus, who was curled up on the bed, and his heart was surprisingly calm.
The Gods of Destruction in the Zeno Inner Realm generally remained at the First Tier, and only a very small number could reach the Second Tier. Beerus counted as one of the stronger Gods of Destruction, but he was still only at the Second Tier.
After witnessing the far grander world beyond, looking back at the Gods of Destruction in the Inner Realm, they were honestly just that. The power of the Second Tier was truly difficult for him to revere.
If I use my full strength, I should be about evenly matched with Beerus.
Roland compared them in secret, already having an estimate of his own strength.
"Ahem!" Just then, Whis clenched a fist, placed it beside his mouth, and coughed lightly a few times before calling out in a gentle voice, "Lord Beerus, it is time to wake up!"
"Mm?"
As if he had heard the sound, Beerus's ears twitched, and his eyeballs rolled beneath his eyelids. Then he turned over and continued sleeping.
Whis raised an eyebrow
