As they gradually approached and finally stopped at a broad pipe junction ahead of Benjamin, he finally made out their figures.
They too were shrouded in various disguises, but the distinctive sorcerous resonance emanating from them showed that these people no longer intended to keep pretending.

The four figures, who had still been somewhat wary of one another, all froze upon hearing his footsteps before whirling around.
"Although I guessed there were quite a few wizards in the Royal Capital, I never expected all of you to have infiltrated positions so high. Should I say you truly live up to being geniuses?"
Benjamin walked forward at an unhurried pace, taking the initiative to break the silence between them. "We do not have much time. Since you all have your reservations, let this insignificant nobody open things up..."

A clear, lovely voice interrupted him. Benjamin turned toward the relatively petite figure.
The other person wore a black robe that concealed her face, but judging by her voice and build, she should have been a woman.
"Surely no one would consider the person who once took first place on the contribution rankings an insignificant nobody, would they? Am I right, Mr. Benjamin?"
The other three were slightly startled upon hearing Benjamin's identity, then revealed looks of understanding. Several curious gazes immediately turned toward him.
Benjamin himself was genuinely surprised by her words.
