More than a decade had passed, and the dozen or so High-Rank Wizards who had taken part in the campaign on the Sacred Spirit Plane gathered once again.
A platform built of metal stood on the empty wasteland.
Alongside the dozen or so familiar faces on the platform were the Fate Wizard, Wizard Starfall, and three beings who radiated unusual auras. Those three were Plane Wizards, though they had followed the other wizards' example and shrunk their bodies considerably.
Even so, their size remained quite conspicuous.
Number One was the most conspicuous of all. Pale blue patterns of law flowed across his body, and his mental energy fluctuated with lively agility. Standing together with the other two Level 6 Plane Wizards, he occupied nearly two-thirds of the platform.
The other two Plane Wizards were smaller, hovering quietly behind Starfall.
After arriving, Benjamin spoke with each wizard in turn, collecting the knowledge they had developed over the years.
Ever since discovering that world nesting technology was connected to the Central World and fully grasping its difficulties, his first instinct had been to outsource the work.
Just as he had done with the Level 9 Creations before, he taught them the relevant knowledge on the understanding that they would give Benjamin their research findings in return.
With enough time, it would naturally have been best to research the various technologies himself at his own pace.
But when time was short, drawing on other people's wisdom was the optimal solution.
Meanwhile, once the High-Rank Wizards learned of this technology's connection to the Central World, not only the dozen or so who had worked with him before, but even the Fate Wizard and Wizard Starfall had each requested a copy. So now Benjamin was collecting their research findings one by one.
"Quite a haul."
