They continued rapidly onward for a long while. Thanks to the space of the entire plane also being swallowed by that point, their speed had increased considerably.
Even so, they flew for most of a day before finally seeing the Level 9 Lifeform's true appearance.
It, too, was a humanoid creature.
Its skin, however, was a deep green, with fine scales covering its neck, shoulders, arms, and other areas. A pair of irregular bony structures extended from behind its ears.
Its body was not burly; in fact, it could even be called lean. Its limbs were slender, and judging by appearance alone, it was difficult to think it posed any danger.
Yet the instant it opened its eyes, a terrifying aura that made even Benjamin's heart tighten slightly erupted outward.
There was no discernible emotion in those eyes, only bewilderment.
It seemed to have just awakened from an extremely long slumber. Its brow slowly furrowed, as though it were enduring some incomprehensible pain.
It made no deliberate movement, yet everyone sensed the changes around them at the same time.
Boom!
Vast amounts of elemental power seemed to suddenly go out of control, surging madly toward the Level 9 Lifeform.
It was as though the entire world had willingly become its food.
"It's begun."
The Fate Wizard's voice sounded beside him, and he took a step forward.

Within Benjamin's field of vision, countless runes spread out from the Fate Wizard's body.
Those runes linked together, interlocking to form a network of unimaginable size.

Benjamin could not help widening his eyes.
It seemed his guess had been right. That structure of layer upon layer of nested runes representing essence was the truth behind law fixation!
The runes on the Fate Wizard's body continually replicated with him at their center,
