Chapter 367
The faint glow of teleportation dissipated within the personal laboratory. Benjamin stepped out, his figure appearing inside.
Not daring to delay, he opened the Magic Network Terminal that had been flashing on his person and swiftly connected the call.
A screen of light unfolded in the air, revealing the familiar figure of Mentor Clark.
He was still dressed in that impeccably neat dark wizard's robe. His signature slightly balding forehead reflected an intelligent gleam beneath the laboratory's cold light, while his expression remained as calm and focused as ever.
"Mentor." Benjamin greeted him respectfully.
Mentor Clark's personality was as it had always been. Without a single word of small talk, he went straight to the point, his tone as concise as if he were stating experimental parameters. "Benjamin, clear your schedule from one month from now through roughly the following year. There's something I'm taking you to see."
"What is it?" Benjamin asked curiously, though he felt no resistance to the idea.
After all, times had changed. He now had a large group of Black Giant Priests under him as an efficient team of "beasts of burden," with every research project progressing in an orderly fashion and dedicated people following up on the construction of the Incense Divinity Path.
Leaving for a year or so would not have much impact on his core research. Besides, he wanted to change environments and spark some new inspiration.
"It won't just be you," Clark added. "Viola and Angelo will be coming as well. I'm taking the three of you to meet my mentor."
Meet Grand Mentor?
Benjamin paused slightly.
Mentor Clark's mentor had to be a great wizard of at least Level 7.
Curious, he pressed further. "Did something happen? Why do all of us need to go?"
Clark's expression remained
