A colossal shadow blanketed the scorched earth below. At the camp's base, immensely complex anti-gravity rune arrays and Spatial Stabilization arrays lit up at once, radiating a gentle glow as vast as the sea as they steadily lifted this city of steel into the sky.
Gales howled around the camp's edges, whipping up dust that filled the heavens, yet the camp's interior felt not the slightest tremor beneath the shielding of its powerful energy field.
Artorius stood upon a high platform at the heart of the camp. His gray robe did not stir in the wind generated by the camp itself, and his calm gaze rested upon the distance.
