Benjamin and Viola, after their initial astonishment, almost simultaneously came back to their senses.

The two exchanged a glance. Without any unnecessary words, they immediately focused all their attention on the light screen beside them, monitoring two situations together. One was Clark's condition.

The grayish-white figure within that ball of spiritual radiance had his eyes slightly closed, as though he had entered some profound meditation.

Vast quantities of mental power extended from his body like invisible tendrils, intertwining closely with the soul of the entire plane.

The other was the operation of the magic array.

The data from over a hundred key nodes flashed rapidly across the light screen. The energy flow through every pattern had to remain within a stable range. Should anything go wrong, they would have to immediately sever Clark's connection to the plane by force and "fish" their mentor out of that state. This was their most important task at the moment.
