The golden light of the Fate System had dimmed to the point of almost going out. Though the torrent of thought from ten billion Black Giants was still pouring in, before absolute silence, it was merely a slightly more resilient stream, destined to freeze sooner or later.
Yet strangely, Benjamin's consciousness became increasingly lucid.
That clarity was bizarre.
It was like someone freezing to death in a world of ice and snow, only to feel a strange warmth and clarity just before death.
He knew it was a sign of impending death, but he could not control it.
The surrounding information continued trying to burrow into his mind without end.
Every piece of information was an invasion, and every invasion was an assimilation.
They wanted to read his memories, analyze his knowledge, then replicate and spread it.
Benjamin could clearly feel that he was now one person fighting the entire world.
And within that world existed a civilization,
a civilization that had evolved for who knew how many millions of years, possessed infinite computing power, and could violate the law of conservation of energy.
The vast voice rang out again, but this time, a trace of confusion appeared in its eternally calm tone for the first time.

He suddenly smiled.
The smile was faint and gentle, yet it carried an indescribable understanding.

Benjamin murmured.
Over the course of his unceasing struggle against the other side, he had figured out
