Benjamin rubbed his temples.
That bizarre creature that looked like an old man had now been compressed into a gray crystal the size of a fingernail, lying quietly within a sealing rune in his palm.
That thing's ability was troublesome: "Forgetting."
Any living creature that approached it would begin losing memories without realizing it.
Without exaggeration, while this ability was not particularly swift at killing people, it was immensely destructive to wizards.
Making a wizard forget their knowledge was simply more agonizing than taking their life!
Benjamin had felt the erosion of that power the moment he approached it.
Then the Body Tempering Method activated.
Bracing himself against that bizarre power, Benjamin walked step by step toward the creature.
The creature looked like a gaunt old man, hunched over, with skin as rough as tree bark and cloudy gray-white eyes.
It raised its head to look at Benjamin, and a flicker of confusion passed through its murky eyes—perhaps wondering why this person had not yet fallen.
Benjamin did not give it more time to think.
His right hand pressed directly onto that wrinkled face, his five fingers tightening as his knuckles exerted force.
The old man's head was gripped in his palm like an egg. Its body struggled violently, its skinny arms flailing through the air, its nails scraping Benjamin's forearm with a piercing metallic screech.
Benjamin simply lifted the creature from the ground with brute physical strength, then—smashed it down!
Boom!
The ground shattered.
The old man's body twitched several times amid the rubble, then a sealing rune Benjamin had drawn was slapped onto its forehead.
Gray light flashed. The creature's three-inch-tall hunched body shrank into a crystal the size of a fingernail, resting quietly at the center of the rune.
Benjamin put away the seal and patted dust
