Benjamin suddenly raised a hand and waved.
The gesture was small, but every wizard saw it.
All eyes shifted from the City of Emptiness to him.
"I have a way." Benjamin's voice was not loud, but every word reached everyone's ears with crystal clarity. "But I have one condition.
Red Flame narrowed his eyes. "Speak."
"I want half the share of this aberration."
The silence lasted only an instant before erupting.
"Impossible!"
"You're asking for too much!"
Several Level 6 Wizards spoke almost at once, their voices weaving into a noisy backdrop across the sky.
Benjamin ignored them and turned his gaze toward the Level 7 Wizards present.
The Level 7 Wizards frowned. Benjamin immediately sensed several streams of mental power probing toward him, so without hesitation, he connected his own mental power to theirs.
Using mental power to transmit information, both sides swiftly began bargaining.
With the sky curtain above rapidly fading, their negotiations were quite efficient.
In the end, both sides confirmed that if Benjamin's method truly worked and caused no negative impact on the plane or Alston's fusion, he would receive one-third of the City of Emptiness's main body.
Benjamin accepted.
He pulled a palm-sized disk from his Internal Grotto-Heaven.
It was made of dark gray metal, its surface dull and lightless, its edge thin as a blade. Its center bulged slightly, engraved with dozens of layers of nested concentric runic arrays. The lines were dense and intricate, appearing a dim gray-black while dormant.
The Anti-Magic Disk.
This was a Wizard War item he had bought at great expense in preparation for the outbreaking Wizard War.
Its function was singular: to restrain all elemental power within a certain range and create an anti-magic zone.
When he bought it, he had envisioned using it in large-scale legion battles.
