Benjamin stood at the entrance to the hemispherical combat chamber, looking up at the unfamiliar space before him.
After coming to Noren Academy No. 147 for so many years, this was actually his first time setting foot in the Academy's highest-spec practical combat training room.
The entire combat chamber was seamless, as though it had been cast from a single piece of pure white metal.
The dome hung high overhead, without the slightest seam or any exposed rune patterns. Only soft white light slowly seeped from deep within the metal, illuminating the entire space down to the finest detail.
A faint ozone-like scent permeated the air. It was the distinctive smell produced only when a Level Seven Defense Array had been on standby for a long time. Benjamin's gaze swept across his surroundings. His mental power instinctively spread out, only to be gently blocked back by an invisible barrier.
Clearly, before training mode was activated, everything here was sealed off.
Ahead of him, Augusta had already reached the center of the field.
She turned around, her black robe swaying lightly with the movement, her voice still crisp and decisive.
"What environment do you want?"
Benjamin smiled. "Anything is fine, but I'd prefer the space to be as large as possible."
Augusta nodded. "Then we'll choose a cosmic environment."
Snap.
With a light snap of her fingers, the entire world changed in an instant.
The pristine white metal overhead receded like a tide, while the surrounding space expanded wildly.
The dome and walls vanished beyond the limits of sight in the span of a single breath.
The next moment, darkness descended.
More precisely, it was not darkness, but true outer space.
A deep, boundless starry sky replaced the white dome. A blazing star slowly rose, scattering golden radiance in every direction.
