Before long, a gentle silver-white pillar of light lit up on the central podium. Savien's figure emerged from it and slowly walked onto the stage.
Today, he wore a formal dark gray Wizard Robe, with the emblem of the Void Architecture Institute pinned to his chest.
A ring of spatial runes floated around the edges of his robe, flickering in and out of view, as though he had naturally merged with the surrounding space.
Savien merely stood there and casually swept his gaze across the hall. Everyone's eyes immediately focused on him.
According to what Benjamin knew, the opening address should come first.
Savien spoke calmly. "Welcome, everyone, to this Academic Exchange Conference. I hope you all gain something here!"
Once he finished, he directly raised his right hand. With a swish, an enormous spatial model instantly spread across the entire hall.
Millions upon millions of three-dimensional runes floated in midair, nesting and combining with one another until they formed an immensely complex diagram of spatial structure.
This meant the opening address was already over, and the keynote speech would begin next.
Benjamin blinked, though he was not surprised.
Perhaps because supernatural power existed, wizards did not need lengthy speeches to establish their authority. Thus, every opening ceremony Benjamin had encountered so far had been remarkably concise.
