The Academy's conference room was rarely this crowded.
By the time Benjamin pushed open the door and entered, the conference room was already packed to the brim. Even the seats in the front rows were nearly full.
Several newer, lower-ranked instructors could only squeeze together there, quietly exchanging information as they tried to determine what this suddenly convened meeting meant.
"What's going on?"
"No idea. The notice came personally from the Dean."
"Did they discover another large plane?"
"Probably not. If it were a Plane War, there'd be no need to call all the instructors over. The last batch of students is about to graduate anyway; they could just use them directly."
"Then that's strange—"
All manner of discussion and speculation drifted through the conference room.
Benjamin stood at the door and swept his gaze over the room, his brows rising despite himself.
No wonder there were so many people this time. Several Level 5 Wizards who rarely showed their faces had come, along with even the instructors responsible for internal resource management, apprentice records, and logistics.
It had to be known that most of them merely carried the title of instructor. Their main purpose was to use the Academy's laboratories.
This lineup—did not look like ordinary Academy business.
Yet Benjamin relaxed as well, because this lineup did not look like something had gone wrong either.
He casually found an empty seat near the back. Just as he settled in, a Level 5 instructor beside him lowered his voice and asked, "Wizard Benjamin, do you know why the Dean suddenly called everyone here?"
"I don't." Benjamin shook his head. "But judging by this setup, it probably isn't bad news."
"I hope so." The instructor gave a wry smile.
"This is the first time I've seen the Dean gather everyone together.
