A few days later, the five regrouped on a temporary floating platform on the outskirts of the Wonder.
Edgar had pieced the platform together from several rune arrays he had constructed on the spot. It hung in the chaos like a small, gray-white mirror.
Benjamin was the first to report. "The spatial structure around the Wonder is completely normal. I found nothing unusual."
"No abnormalities in the temporal fluctuations. The chaos index is basically the same as in the surrounding void," Tori added.
"The elements only show a tendency to converge on the Wonder. Beyond that, I couldn't find anything useful." Chloe shook her head, her grass-green Wizard Robe slowly billowing in the void.
Elma spoke in a low voice. "The Fate Lines don't show any obvious breaks or convergence either. This place is too ordinary—so ordinary that it's almost abnormal."
They exchanged glances, all reaching the same conclusion.
Since they could discover nothing outside, they would have to enter the sphere.
"If we're going inside, sorry for the trouble, Edgar." Tori looked at the rune wizard in the gray-blue Wizard Robe.
Edgar nodded and took out a silver-gray spell disc he had inscribed beforehand, holding it in his palm.
The disc slowly rotated. Countless tiny runes flowed out like mercury, following intricate paths around the five before attaching themselves to the edges of their law solidification domains.
"This array can temporarily weave the power of our five domains into a net, letting them support one another while giving each of us another layer of external reinforcement. As long as we don't encounter any outrageously powerful attacks, it should hold," he said.
Once their preparations were complete, they set off again.
They were actually still a great distance from the Wonder. It would probably take another month or two of
