Pan Yunxiang and the examiners fought a mutated giant whose severed limbs could move and whose head could possess people. After failing to kill it, Pan Yunxiang ordered a retreat, while the possessed Du Ke went looking for Lin Baici, believing he could save him.

In the forest, Lin Baici’s group encountered Du Ke, whose body had been taken over by the headless giant, and Lin Baici charged to cut off the monster’s head.

As Yuan Jifeng and Deng Mingyu searched for a way to help, Lin Baici asked Xia Hongyao to throw him to a stone pillar, and she began transforming into a giant.
