Hearing the sound of grenades being thrown outside Yellow House on A Site, Fnatic's comms fell into orderly chatter.

"There are a lot of them. They're probably executing out of T Halls. I'll watch Yellow House. poizon, keep an eye on Iron Door for me," ALEX said, heading to the far end of the ledge above Yellow House and holding the exit with Dual Pistols.

mezii, scouting from below Heaven with a USP, gave a reminder. "Haven't seen anyone outside. I'm going up Heaven and back to A. Watch out—they might be wrapping around through the main entrance."

"I'll dodge the first flash, then peek." ALEX stood on the ledge above Yellow House and dodged the first Flashbang. Then he saw the Terrorist carrying the GL's bomb swing out of Yellow House.

"I see the bomb! I see the bomb!" ALEX was just about to shoot the second Terrorist coming out with the bomb when he was blinded by the second Flashbang the Terrorists threw.

He fired a few shots by feel, but unfortunately, Glock headshot and killed him.

poizon, hiding in Secret, managed to trade only one of the attacking Terrorists.

With A Site clear, GL's bomb carrier planted at the main entrance, close to Yellow House.

"Four against three on the retake. Fnatic should go for it, right?" Ma Xixi's view locked onto Qin Feng as he pushed out from the Iron Door connection. "CTs know there's someone in the back throwing utility. Aether has to watch out for RuStY, who's throwing it."

Mo sounded a little anxious. "Aether doesn't seem to know there's still a Terrorist hiding at T Spawn and throwing utility. This is bad."

"Wait, no—RuStY whiffed. He didn't hit the head."

"RuStY knows Aether's going to rush him first. He can't peek out."

"He's jiggle-peeking—what? He got instantly headshot by the Dual Pistols?"

"He got deleted that fast?"

The CSBOY livestream was flooded with comments. Even though China wasn't playing today, the match between Fnatic and GL was still drawing plenty of viewers thanks to Aether.

Seeing Aether instantly take down RuStY as he jiggle-peeked, Ma Xixi's voice grew more animated. "Will mezii dare to peek from Heaven? KRIMZ is coming up through K1 to retake from the main entrance, and Aether has only just reached the outside of Yellow House."

"mezii throws a self-flash and peeks anyway, but two Terrorists are holding angles at the Bomb Site, waiting for him."

"Can mezii win this? He loses the duel. What a shame."

"Aether swings out of Yellow House to trade, taking down eraa as he reloads at the Bomb Site. KRIMZ pushes in through the main entrance and instantly kills the other Terrorist at the Bomb Site."

"What can Zero do, hiding behind the A Site pillar?"

"His teammates are all dead. It's all on Zero."

"Aether swings from Yellow Gate, KRIMZ from the other side. What can he do?"

"Caught between them, and instantly taken down by the Dual Pistols."

"There's plenty of time to defuse."

Most of the viewers in the livestream couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

[I didn't notice last time he played in the Chinese Major Qualifiers, but Aether's kind of handsome. How does he seem even more handsome than Tom Cruise?]

"Nice." After giving away his life with that Heaven peek, mezii watched Qin Feng successfully defuse the bomb and couldn't resist giving him a high five.

Those $300 Dual Pistols had been worth every penny.

Aether was the kind of guy you wanted on your team—give him a gun, and he'd carry.

Watching the livestream outside the training room, coach Samuelsson pumped his fist in excitement.

Both were young talents who had dominated FPL, but Aether's performance in matches was leagues ahead of Peppzor's.

During the freeze time before the second round, Qin Feng checked his money.

Exactly $4,850.

"Aether, if you're buying an AWP, want to snipe outside?" poizon, who would normally be defending A Site, suggested.

"No. They planted last round, so they'll probably force-buy this round." Qin Feng shook his head. "I'll hold Iron Door alone. KRIMZ, go down the vents to K1. The three of you take A."

The GL players, having lost the Pistol Round, didn't look too happy.

They'd had a four-on-three post-plant situation, but under crossfire, they'd only managed to trade one for four.

That was hard to accept.

"How about we rush Iron Door?" Zero looked at the teammates sitting beside him. "We can buy four rifles this round, but we're a little short on utility. We don't have enough to clear A Site."

"Sure. The guy holding B is probably that rookie, Aether. He got three kills on us last round. Let's show him what we've got this time," iM encouraged his teammates, who were feeling a little down after losing the Pistol Round.

All five Terrorists ran from T Base toward the Iron Door connection with their knives out, throwing no utility outside at all.

"GL aren't even planning to smoke the outside lane. Are they going to rush through Iron Door or charge Iron Door itself?" Mo analyzed the situation. "They're not executing onto A from T Halls? Then they're probably hitting Iron Door. KRIMZ is watching K1 from the vents, but that leaves Aether alone to hold B."

Ma Xixi added, "Aether bought an AWP but didn't get full armor. That's not a great matchup against their Galil ARs. Both the AKs and Galils will kill with one headshot. And if Aether misses, Fnatic will lose Iron Door and B Site outright."

"Back when Peppzor was still here, he'd probably be holding Iron Door while poizon supported from below Heaven with a Sniper Rifle."

"Will Aether miss this shot?"

Everyone knew that if he missed the first shot, the Terrorists would probably rush Qin Feng's position and kill him.

If the AWP missed from below Heaven, there might still be time to fall back to CT Base. But if he missed from the sniper position, the Terrorists would almost certainly trade him out.

"Haven't seen anyone outside, and they haven't thrown any utility," KRIMZ reminded them from K1 outside.

"There's noise in T Halls. Looks like they might hit the connection. Aether, if you need to, fall back and hold B Site," ALEX hurriedly called over comms. "As long as you don't die, it's fine to let them into the site. KRIMZ can come back to Control Room and crossfire with you."

For Fnatic, as long as Qin Feng's AWP wasn't taken out right away, they could accept GL planting the bomb.

But Qin Feng clearly had no intention of giving GL a chance to plant.

The most important thing for a sniper was confidence.

Why had karrigan left behind that famous moment on Cobblestone, when he was caught with his back turned and twelve bullets in his USP, only for kennyS to turn around and kill him?

Wasn't it because he'd played it safe with a USP and earned the title "the world's best USP player"?

If karrigan had pulled out his AWP and swung instead, kennyS probably wouldn't have pulled off that one-on-two post-plant clutch in the middle of Cobblestone.

As they spoke, a sliver of a GL player's arm appeared in the center of the sniper scope.

"Dry peek?"

"Don't get cocky. You're about to find out who I am!"

Qin Feng pulled the trigger.

"Bang!"

The three remaining GL players were completely thrown off.

Zero had been about to swing out with his teammate, but he immediately pulled back toward T Halls.

"Forget it. Let's not hit the connection," Zero sighed. "I thought the rookie would give poizon the AWP. Who knew he'd buy one for himself?"

Zero felt like he had no grounds to complain.

Wasn't poizon supposed to be your team's AWPer?
