The third gun round for both teams on Inferno had arrived.
Liquid's fast push down Banana toward B Site finally caught the Fnatic players off guard.
EliGE led the charge, taking out mezii, who was completely blinded behind the sandbags.
KRIMZ, meanwhile, had fallen back beneath the flower bed at CT Base the instant he was hit by the flash, narrowly escaping death.
But the bald man knew that if Liquid's Terrorists managed to smoke off CT Base and Coffins, there would be no suspense left in how the round ended.
"I'll throw a pop flash off the platform. If I die, you can save your guns." KRIMZ released the flash as he spoke.
KRIMZ's thinking was sound, but the result still didn't go his way.
The chicken hid in the alcove, dodged the flash, and turned around to kill KRIMZ as he swung out.
All five Liquid players planted the C4 at B Site without taking any damage.
As the announcement "The bomb has been planted" rang out, Fnatic was once again forced to save their guns.
"Ah, my bad." mezii, the first to get killed, sounded a little remorseful. "I got flashed and couldn't use my utility. They put out the fire and swung way too fast."
ALEX, the in-game leader, took a deep breath. "It's fine. We can't expect to win the fight for Banana every single round."
"Don't let that mistake affect your mindset going forward."
"In the strategy we came up with, Banana is a key part. Even if we give it up, we still need to stall for as long as we can."
"If Liquid keeps wanting to fight for Banana, I'll go with you next round."
