The match was paused, this time at Heroic's request.
They couldn't help it. They hadn't expected today's match to produce such a spectacle.
A 1v5!
You hardly ever saw one in top-tier professional play, even over the course of a year.
And this wasn't a rifle against pistols. It was a Desert Eagle against a fully armored team with rifles.
That was even more ridiculous!
Heroic had played the early part of the round perfectly. They'd taken out the other side without much trouble, and everyone had thought they'd secure an ACE. That would have let them build up their economy and slowly take more rounds.
But none of them had expected that Desert Eagle to swing out from A2 Floor, first kill the player at Big Pit, then tear apart the Big Sniper, and finally take them all out one by one.
They'd had chances to end the round. Xiao Hei could have landed the follow-up shot, for example, or TeSeS could have killed him with that spray when he swung out of the corridor.
But Xiao Hei had whiffed with the MP9, and TeSeS had caught the wrong timing. His spray hadn't been enough to kill the enemy...
But sometimes, there was nothing you could do.
Every player's moment of glory was built on their opponents' mistakes.
Stavn was the only one who hadn't seen young, but even he hadn't expected young to be so bold as to push through the smoke!
Cadian, their in-game leader, stepped forward and said, "It's all right, it's all right. Everyone, stay calm. I don't think anyone did anything wrong there. Their young just played it well!"
"We need to acknowledge our own mistakes, and give credit where it's due. Let's just focus on playing well from here on out."
