Fang Mo turned to look with a smile and saw a woman in black standing at the entrance to the training grounds.
She was tall and slender, her fitted black swordswoman's dress making her figure look as straight and proud as a blade. An ancient longsword hung at her waist, faint dark patterns shimmering across its scabbard. Her face was delicate and lovely, but a bold, unrestrained spirit shone in her eyes.
At that moment, she leaned against the doorframe with her arms folded, studying the three people inside with a mixture of surprise and amusement.
"Sister Quan!"
"Sister Quan's back!"
Guan Lu and Luo Jiangyan stopped at the same time and cried out in delight.
The newcomer was none other than Yue Quan, who had been away honing herself for quite some time. She still carried the air of the wilderness.
Though she looked full of heroic spirit, fatigue and the marks of wind and frost lingered on her face.
Yue Quan walked into the training grounds, looking Guan Lu over before turning to Luo Jiangyan. She raised an eyebrow. "I was only away on a trial for a little over a month, and your cultivation... did it soar up on a flying sword?"
She walked over to Guan Lu and patted her shoulder, quietly sending a thread of true essence into her. The surprise in her eyes deepened. "A solid foundation and pure fire essence. You couldn't get into this condition by pulling up seedlings to make them grow." She turned to Luo Jiangyan. "You too, Jiangyan. The peak of the Heavenly Human Realm? I remember you'd only just stabilized your cultivation in the late Heavenly Human Realm when I left."
Luo Jiangyan's cheeks flushed slightly. She exchanged a glance with Guan Lu, both of them looking embarrassed.
