Leiya's clothes were torn, the blood on them already dried. Pain surged through her chest and ribs from time to time, and her body was too weak to muster any strength. Metal restraints locked around her neck and both legs, preventing her from activating her Liquid Metal Battle Armor or using her power.
The cell's walls were made of superalloy and equipped with an energy shield. Even without her severe injuries, she would not have been able to escape.
The cell was completely empty. She sat leaning against the wall.
Her companions' agonized screams under torture echoed down the corridor. She pressed her lips tightly together. Ever since she had been locked up, Helde and Mengke had been taken away for interrogation. Their screams of pain had been ringing through this prison for a long time now.
