Senior Sister Guan's Combat Strength
Fang Mo got into a taxi, but he did not head to the martial arts school.
He was worried that the other side might have people stationed there as well. If he got surrounded, it would be hard to get away.
He rode several kilometers away, then switched to another car and found a hotel to stay in.
Only after entering his room and closing the door did he let out a breath.
Tonight had truly been dangerous.
Still, that fight had left him feeling utterly exhilarated, as if his understanding of Tiger Subduing Fist had improved as well.
[Tiger Subduing Fist: Beginner (88/100)]
Fang Mo turned his awareness inward and checked the information on the Bronze Mirror. He froze for a moment—the proficiency of Tiger Subduing Fist had actually risen to 88. He remembered it being 78 before.
He had never expected combat to raise proficiency too, and by such a considerable amount.
This showed him another path to increasing proficiency. It seemed that from now on, he could not simply bury his head in grueling practice—he also needed real combat.
It was inconvenient to practice boxing at the hotel, so he could only practice stance work. After two rounds, he finally rested.
The next day, he got up as usual and held his stance for an hour.
Only then did he check out and leave. After grabbing a simple breakfast by the roadside, he hailed a taxi to the martial arts school.
He had deliberately come later, so there would be people at the school.
Sure enough, by the time he arrived, disciples were already entering the martial arts school from time to time. He got out of the taxi and hurried toward it, noticing two vans parked at the entrance.
"Fang Mo!"
He had only taken two steps when someone suddenly called out to him again.
Fang Mo pretended not to hear and continued straight toward the martial arts school.
But he stopped moments later.
Two burly men emerged from the corner by the school wall, short clubs in hand, advancing on him with vicious looks.
Huang Jun got out of one of the vehicles, his face full of exhaustion. He looked as though he had not slept all night. Five men followed behind him, all carrying short clubs.
"Kid, I thought you weren't going to show. You really kept us waiting!"
Huang Jun flicked away his cigarette butt and glared fiercely at Fang Mo.
"What are you trying to do?"
Fang Mo suddenly shouted, "This is Tiger Might Martial Arts School! Are you here to cause trouble?"
"Grab him!"
Huang Jun's expression changed as he barked out the order.
Several burly men charged at Fang Mo. None of them were slow; they were clearly trained fighters.
Fang Mo suddenly hurled the bag in his hand at the two men blocking his way. At the same time, he burst forward, driving one man back with a punch. Then, with Barbarian Bull Charges Mountain, he sent the man catching the bag flying, broke through the encirclement, and rushed straight toward the martial arts school.
"Where do you think you're running?!"
Huang Jun snatched a short club from one of the men and hurled it. Fang Mo heard the fierce rush of wind and quickly dodged to the side. The club whistled past him.
A chill ran through Fang Mo's heart. Gritting his teeth, he charged toward the martial arts school again.
"Stay right there!"
Huang Jun appeared behind him, sweeping a whip kick toward Fang Mo's head.
Hearing the shriek of the wind, Fang Mo's heart tightened. He turned slightly sideways, raised both arms to shield his body, sank his center of gravity, and planted his feet firmly on the ground. Like a mountain, immovable as a bell, he displayed a solid foundation in horse stance.
Terrifying force crashed into him. His stance work could not withstand it at all—the other man's strength was simply too great.
He was sent flying and slammed heavily to the ground. His arms hurt as though they were about to split apart, and the immense force left his chest tight and stifled.
Before he could get up, two burly men pounced on him and pinned him down, each twisting one of his arms. He desperately tried to struggle, but a heavy blow landed in his stomach, instantly draining all his strength.
Huang Jun walked over, murder in his eyes. "Still trying to run? Run again, and I'll break your legs!"
"Take him away!"
With a wave of his hand, the two men dragged Fang Mo away.
"Junior Brother Fang!"
At that moment, a deep shout rang out. Three or four martial arts school students stood at the entrance, with Ding Zhiyuan at their head.
"What are you doing? You dare beat someone at our martial arts school's entrance? Release Junior Brother Fang at once!"
Ding Zhiyuan shouted in a deep voice.
Huang Jun did not even acknowledge him, merely waving his hand. "Move!"
"You dare? Save him!"
Ding Zhiyuan gave a loud shout and charged out. The other students hesitated briefly before following after him.
"Courting death!"
Huang Jun growled, suddenly spinning around and kicking Ding Zhiyuan straight through the air. The other three students instantly stopped in their tracks.
"Bright Force!"
The others' faces darkened. His kick had produced an explosive crack—he was clearly a Bright Force expert. None of them dared step forward again.
"So he's a Martial Hall disciple too. Heh heh!"
Huang Jun sneered and turned toward the van.
"Bold!"
Suddenly, a sharp feminine cry rang out. A figure shot out from the courtyard, lunging straight at Huang Jun.
Huang Jun's expression changed slightly, and he hurriedly turned and kicked. His foot collided with a fist in a tremendous muffled boom. Huang Jun staggered backward, retreating several steps before two burly men caught him and stopped his fall.
Everyone looked over to see a tall woman in a white training uniform standing before them. She was the one who had just sent Huang Jun flying with a single punch.
"Senior Sister Guan, they took Fang Mo!"
Clutching his chest, Ding Zhiyuan cried out anxiously.
The newcomer was none other than Guan Lie's daughter, Guan Lu.
The moment Fang Mo saw Guan Lu appear, joy surged through him. With Guan Lu out here, he was saved today.
Guan Lu stared coldly at Huang Jun. "Which gang are you people from? You dare seize someone at our Martial Hall? Release him immediately!"
Gritting his teeth, Huang Jun shoved aside his subordinates and said in a deep voice, "Take him away. I'll hold her off!"
"You dare!"
Guan Lu flew into a rage. Her body moved in an instant, and Huang Jun moved at the same time to meet her.
"Mountain Collapsing Fist!"
Huang Jun roared. His sleeve burst apart, and his punch cracked through the air—four rings from one fist.
"Tiger Stance Collapsing Fist!"
Guan Lu gave a sharp cry, flicking her jade-like palm as her punch rang out six times.
"Late-stage Bright Force!"
Shock flashed through Huang Jun's eyes, but it was already too late to retreat. He gritted his teeth and threw his fist forward. He refused to believe that a grown man like him could not defeat a young woman.
A muffled boom erupted as Qi Force burst outward.
Huang Jun's body flew backward beyond his control, slamming heavily into the van. Its windows instantly shattered, the vehicle shook violently, and blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.
Guan Lu stamped the ground and lunged out again, kicking at him. Huang Jun's face changed drastically as he hurriedly dodged. He did not dare take the blow head-on.
Guan Lu's kick struck the side of the van squarely, sending it half a meter sideways. Everyone inside was thrown flying by the impact, and both the front and rear windows exploded into shards.
"So strong!"
Watching it all, Fang Mo's eyes filled with shock. He had always known Guan Lu was strong, but he had never imagined she was this strong.
That explosive power was terrifying. That strike had to have carried over a thousand kilograms of force!
While the two men were stunned, Fang Mo suddenly shook both arms and blasted them away. Then, with two probing palms, he drove them back and hurriedly retreated himself.
"Catch him!"
Huang Jun shouted urgently. Several thugs charged forward with clubs raised, only to be knocked down and injured by Guan Lu in two swift moves.
"Who dares cause trouble at the Martial Hall!"
At that moment, a group of people rushed out of the Martial Hall in a fierce torrent, weapons in hand as they shouted and charged forward.
Seeing this, Huang Jun knew he had lost his chance. He hurriedly called out:
"Go! Retreat!"
Supported by two thugs, Huang Jun climbed into the van. The vehicle immediately lurched away, and though the others chased after it for dozens of meters, they failed to catch up.
"What happened? Who are these people?"
Feng Qingyuan walked over with a sword in hand and asked.
"Ask him!"
Guan Lu looked toward Fang Mo, anger still on her face. "Who knows what trouble he stirred up outside, bringing gang members here to seize him!"
Feng Qingyuan looked at Fang Mo and asked:
"Junior Brother Fang, what happened?"
Fang Mo wore an innocent expression as well.
"Eldest Senior Brother, I truly don't know what's going on either. Every day, I'm either at the Martial Hall or heading home at night. I haven't gone anywhere. I have no idea how I offended these gang people. They barged into where I live last night. Luckily, I ran out and hid for the night. I never expected them to block me at the Martial Hall too!"
Yang Qingyuan nodded and said:
"That's true. Junior Brother Fang cultivates at the Martial Hall every day. He shouldn't have provoked gang members!"
The anger on Guan Lu's face eased somewhat at those words. She too recalled that Fang Mo traveled only between two points every day. He came to the Martial Hall before dawn and left only at night—where would he have found the time to cause trouble?
"Then what is going on? They clearly came to seize you."
"Let's not talk about it for now!"
Feng Qingyuan waved a hand to stop Guan Lu. Looking at Fang Mo, he patted him on the shoulder and said, "Junior Brother Fang, you don't need to be afraid either. With our martial arts school here, those gangs won't dare act recklessly. Don't go wandering around lately—stay at the school!"
His expression turned stern. His gaze swept across the surrounding crowd as he shouted, "I'll get to the bottom of this and see which gang dares cause trouble at Tiger Might Martial Arts School!"
The onlookers immediately broke into murmurs. Quite a few faces changed slightly, and they hurriedly slipped away in secret.
