Atop the towering Divine Hall, no outsiders had ever set foot. The space up here was enormous, like a vast elevated plaza.
In the middle of the plaza stood a huge, entirely black structure that resembled an altar. Twelve enormous, pointed black iron horns jutted from its exterior, curving inward and pointing toward the center, like the sharp claws of a crab lying on its back with its belly to the sky.
Crystal stones and runic patterns covered it, forming an intricate formation diagram. The diagrams now glimmered with light, energy seeming to flow through them and between the altar's parts like wind.
Many people stood outside the altar, including Ji Mingfeng and Senior Brother Zhai, along with several True Person Realm and Transcendent Realm warriors. They stared intently at the altar, their eyes alight with anticipation.
"Support is finally on its way!"
Ji Mingfeng could not hide his excitement. Four continents had fallen into the Mechanical Empire's hands, and two more had come under attack, narrowly escaping destruction.
If support had not arrived in time, those two continents might have been lost as well.
But this also meant that the Mechanical Empire had found the other trial continents. And the Mechanical Empire was determined to seize the Ancient Realm. How could he not worry, fearing that they would strike again and take the remaining continents?
If that happened, there would be no need for the sect to summon him back—he would take his own life first!
