Once the blade's power reached perfection, it formed nine layers of blade prisons, capable of cleaving the firmament above and the Nine Netherworlds below.
The blade art had nine layers, each corresponding to one blade prison. The further one advanced, the more powerful it became.
The first layer was Blood Prison Blade. It condensed one's blood essence and gathered blood-essence baleful intent, nourishing the blade with blood to build a blood-essence blade prison. Any martial artist who entered it would have their blood essence drained by the prison's influence, until at the very least, their blood was depleted and their body left withered.
The second layer was Bone Prison Senluo. Its blade prison was a forest where countless bones wailed, dedicated to destroying the Primordial Spirit until both body and spirit were annihilated.
The third layer was Fire Prison Fentian. It drew the world's Flame Fiend into the blade and condensed a power of incineration, like red lotus karmic fire that burned everything to ashes.
The fourth layer was Ice Prison Extreme Cold. Its blade aura transformed into a prison of extreme cold, freezing spiritual power and sealing heaven and earth in ice.
The fifth layer was Lightning Prison Heavenly Punishment.
The sixth layer was Wind Prison Formless.
The seventh layer was Dark Prison Soul Devourer.
The eighth layer was Light Prison Cleansing Annihilation.
The ninth layer united all nine prisons into one, returning all to the boundless void. When the blade emerged, all nine prisons appeared together, annihilating heaven and earth and crushing everything in their path.
