History

Tianli Sect was founded by Tianli Zi, who entrusted five major cultivation arts to his five disciples. He moved five mountain ranges and established the Five Absolutes Heavenly Sword Array, creating the sect’s present mountain-gate foundation. 1228

The sect has endured for over one hundred thousand years and amassed an extensive inheritance through wars and conquests. The Myriad Splendor Pagoda preserves hundreds of Divine Ability-grade arts, including inheritances obtained after the destruction of first-rate sects and the deaths of powerful cultivators. 1217 1236 1237

In the distant past, Tianli Sect united the major powers of the Tianli Sword Domain to destroy the Mechanical Empire after it hunted Martial Artists, extracted life essence, and devastated inhabited planets. The war severely weakened Tianli Sect; over the following ten thousand years, only two Void Glimpse Realm cultivators were publicly known to have emerged from the sect. 657 1249

During the renewed war against the Mechanical Empire, Tianli Sect fought across the Ancient Realm and Red Rock Continent. Its Sky Boats, sword formations, and high-realm cultivators repeatedly confronted Mecha forces, though the sect also suffered heavy casualties. 674 786 800

Mu Cangming later withdrew Tianli Sect from the alliance and Central Continent after other sects refused cooperation and repeatedly targeted Tianli Sect interests. The sect moved the Nine Heavens Divine Hall and its remaining cities and safe zones to Red Rock Continent, relinquishing control of the Ancient Realm’s entry point. 1211 1212 1213

Fang Mo was appointed First Deputy Sect Master with authority over all sect affairs, then succeeded Mu Cangming as Sect Master. Under his leadership, Tianli Sect integrated Mechanical Empire technology, promoted new cultivation methods, defeated rival coalitions, and reasserted its dominance across the Tianli Sword Domain. 1219 1220 1324 1342

Arts, Formations, and Warfare

Tianli Sword Formation

A coordinated Sky Boat sword formation activated by thousands of sword marks and cultivators. It merges the participants’ swords with a vessel’s defenses to form a protective barrier. 674

  • Can withstand powerful Mecha bombardment, though sustaining it can injure its Heavenly Human and Transcendent Realm users. 674
  • Includes Shifting Form and Shadow, a spatial-shift technique used to escape enemy attacks. 674
  • Supports large-scale fleet defense; over thirty Sky Boats once combined their formations to block technological artillery. 785

Flying Sword Warfare

Tianli Sect relies heavily on Flying Swords and sword cultivators in battle. 786

  • Transcendent Realm experts use Flying Swords against Level Two Mecha formations. 786
  • Heavenly Human Realm experts engage Level One Mecha formations directly. 786
  • Bai Wuchen’s Flying Sword could expand into a giant sword powerful enough to send Suo En through a mountain wall. 692

Sky-Shading Talismans

Preparatory talismans used to negate or reduce Ancient Realm restrictions on high-realm cultivators. 692

  • Enabled Bai Wuchen to fully use True Man Realm power within the Ancient Realm. 692
  • Demonstrate Tianli Sect’s familiarity with the Ancient Realm and its willingness to prepare specialized counters. 692

Myriad Transformations Return-to-Origin Art

A cultivation method promoted across the sect that uses exotic-beast essence blood to help cultivators break through bottlenecks and condense battle beasts. 1317

  • Zhao Tieyi used it to enter the True Man Realm and condense a giant black wolf battle beast. 1317
  • Sun Heng condensed a silver python battle beast after adopting the art. 1317
  • Its rapid spread caused a major rise in demand for exotic-beast corpses across Red Rock Continent. 1317
  • The method carries potential hidden risks, which some True Lords raised during its promotion. 1317

Technology and Array Defenses

Under Fang Mo’s influence, Tianli Sect began incorporating Mechanical Empire technology rather than relying exclusively on cultivation. 1220 1303

  • Red Rock safe zones use combined technological and array-based defenses. 1303
  • The sect revealed five colossal beast-shaped mechs resembling a tiger, cheetah, bear, ape, and eagle. 1310
  • The approach was intended to offset the sect’s shortage of Nascent Soul Tribulation Realm combatants against large exotic-beast populations. 1301

Treasures and Heritage

  • Tianli Sword — Foremost among Tianli Sect’s Seven Treasures. 1236
  • Five named swords — Taichu, Sky-Ruling, Mystic Aegis, Cloud Palace, and Clear Continuance; peak-grade Dongxu Spiritual Treasures. 1236
  • Myriad Splendor Pagoda — One of the Seven Treasures and the sect’s great repository of cultivation methods. 1236
  • Sect Master’s Token — Represents the Sect Master’s supreme authority; Fang Mo’s token grants access to sect records, intelligence, resources, and power, while also functioning as a Void Glimpse Spiritual Treasure. 1215 1229

  • Five Absolutes Heavenly Sword Array — The foundational grand array established when Tianli Zi arranged the five mountain ranges. 1228
