Arc 9The Notebook and the Werewolves

Vaughn broke the Magical Congress’s attack on the North American Werewolves, confronted Wilkinson, and returned to England with plans for magical-school exchanges and a Hogwarts Werewolf Class. Back at The Burrow, he uncovered Tom Riddle’s Notebook as a Horcrux and intervened before it could draw Harry deeper into its influence.

  • Josiah Park rallied the Magical Congress against the Werewolves, but Vaughn’s infrasound attack devastated the assault, killed Park, and secured Donald Graves’s submission.
  • Vaughn confronted Wilkinson, escaped with Donald, and later joined Dumbledore in investigating Wilkinson’s connection to the Dreamcatcher and the Legendary Wizards.
  • Vaughn and Dumbledore traveled through the Pacific and met Eastern adepts before discussing international school exchanges, Wolfsbane Potion, and a Werewolf Class with Salaamira in Cairo.

Arc 10The Painted World

Vaughn investigated Harry’s Notebook while pushing forward reforms for werewolves and Hogwarts’ practical curriculum. He and Isabella opened the Painted World to students, where Dire Wolves drove Harry, Ron, and Hermione toward a dangerous obstacle.

  • Vaughn warned Dumbledore that Tom’s Notebook was draining Harry’s life force, then studied the Notebook and Destiny while the werewolf crisis escalated.
  • After Alexander and Taylor were found murdered, Francois rallied the werewolves to march through Diagon Alley, and Vaughn refused Fudge’s order to disperse them.
  • Vaughn returned to Hogwarts, developed plans for practical classes, and worked with Isabella Rosier to build a Painted World and recruit magical creatures for it.

Arc 11The Duelling Club and the Notebook

Vaughn navigated the governors’ scrutiny while advancing his Werewolf research and launching Hogwarts’s Duelling Club, as Harry and his friends traced the danger of the bewitched Notebook. The arc left Vaughn’s plans for the North American Werewolves in motion and their separatist leaders facing a deadly conspiracy.

  • Vaughn used the Dire Wolves’ safety demonstration to win political support, while Fudge backed the Potions exchange and the governors approved a Duelling Club.
  • Harry, Ron, and Hermione uncovered the likelihood that Colin Creevey had found the dangerous Notebook, but Harry’s secrecy strained his friendships and Hermione confronted him.
  • Vaughn tested his revised Wolfsbane Potion on Lupin, preventing transformation but causing severe pain, and later suspended the trials because of Lupin’s side effects.

  • John Mil told Mister Mysterious and the Patrons about the Second Edition Wolfsbane Potion, but Vaughn trapped them in Borgin and Burkes and captured John.
  • Vaughn revealed that Francois had acted as his agent, used John’s testimony and a fabricated list to expose the suspected pure-blood conspirators, and John died during a memory examination.
  • Vaughn’s revelations shook the Wizengamot as the Potions Exchange Program spread to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, while he investigated the stolen Serpent Bird egg and Tom’s possible involvement.
