Dao Lord Taichu grabbed with his hand and pulled a dagger from the void, viciously stabbing through the Demonic Snake's vital spot.
These Demonic Snakes were ferocious beyond compare. Not only did they not retreat, they instead went mad, using all their strength to bite Dao Lord Taichu.
Dao Lord Taichu snorted coldly, thrust out his dagger, then gave it a hard shake, blasting the giant Demonic Snake's brains out.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
By then, Liu Xue had arrived as well. Holding an emerald-green arrow, she took aim at the largest venomous snake and fired.
Bang...!
The arrow struck the venomous snake's head and instantly pierced through it. The snake immediately lost all signs of life.
Seeing this, Dao Lord Taichu also took an arrow, nocked it to his bow, and fired.
Whoosh!
Dao Lord Taichu's arrow pierced through another venomous snake's neck, killing it.
A moment later, there were no living Demonic Snakes left on the entire great mountain apart from the two of them.
"Let's go. We'd better not stay here for long. I always feel there's danger inside," Dao Lord Taichu said.
Liu Xue nodded in agreement.
The two then made their way toward the mountaintop, vigilantly observing their surroundings as they went.
After they had traveled some distance, Dao Lord Taichu suddenly raised his brows and looked up at the sky.
A black cloud floated overhead, dark and oppressive, blotting out the sky and sun.
Dao Lord Taichu frowned. Then he looked at the black cloud, and the instant he did, his pupils contracted.
Within the black cloud, he seemed to see pairs of scarlet eyes staring at him.
"Kehehehe... Humans? What a delicious sight. If we eat these two humans, perhaps our plan will succeed."
A shrill laugh echoed through the heavens.
Rumble...!
The
