Ancestor Tianyi smiled faintly, lightly swaying the staff in his hand. "I never said I had already defeated you."
Upon hearing this, Dao Lord Taichu was startled, yet he dared not show weakness. The sword in his hand danced as he charged at Ancestor Tianyi.
The battle between them grew fierce. Dao Lord Taichu's swordsmanship was powerful and forceful, while Ancestor Tianyi moved with agility, his staff equally adept at attack and defense. The two fought without either gaining the upper hand.
"Your swordsmanship is still not sharp enough!" Ancestor Tianyi swiftly dodged Dao Lord Taichu's attack. "You need to focus more on the essence of the sword."
Dao Lord Taichu's heart stirred at those words. His eyes fixed on the staff in Ancestor Tianyi's hand as he tried to find an opening.
"Hmph, you still can't see through my attacks." Ancestor Tianyi sneered and viciously swung his staff at Dao Lord Taichu's cheek.
Seeing the staff rushing toward him, Dao Lord Taichu did not dare be careless. He twisted aside, narrowly evading the blow, then stabbed back at Ancestor Tianyi with a reverse thrust.
Ancestor Tianyi was utterly fearless. With a swing of his staff, he deflected Dao Lord Taichu's Sword Momentum, then flashed away from Dao Lord Taichu's pursuit and turned to attack his back.
Dao Lord Taichu immediately realized something was wrong and withdrew in retreat, attempting to evade Ancestor Tianyi's attack. However, his movement technique could not match Ancestor Tianyi's nimbleness. With a dull thud, he was struck by the staff and sent flying backward once more.
Dao Lord Taichu climbed to his feet in a sorry state, his body already covered in wounds.
