Lin Taichu pressed the orb of energy against Meng Qi's brow. Seven-colored light flowed through her meridians, trying to suppress the spread of the Bone Corroding Curse.
Meng Qi's body trembled violently, but the purple marks kept expanding as if alive, even beginning to erode her dantian.
"This isn't an ordinary Bone Corroding Curse." A biting chill seeped into Lin Taichu's fingertips. "The lingering soul's power is catalyzing the curse mark. We must destroy its main body first."
He looked up at the deep hole exposed after the Stone Pillar shattered. A ghostly green light flickered at its bottom.
Countless black threads hung from the opening, connecting to the demonic cultivator army in the air and forming an enormous energy cycle.
"Meng Qi, hold on to the corner of my robe."
Lin Taichu carried her on his back and formed hand seals with both hands. "Yin-Yang Two Qi, heed my command!"
Phoenix True Fire and Netherworld cold energy formed a swirling current around him, blasting away the charging demonic cultivators.
He stepped on the current and shot toward the deep hole. The black threads along the way were severed by the energy current, erupting with crackling explosions.
At the bottom was a circular stone chamber. A black crystal the size of a human head floated at its center, enclosing a wisp of gray lingering soul.
The lingering soul continually slammed against the crystal's inner walls. Every impact made Meng Qi's body convulse.
"This is a Soul Crystal refined from the Essence Blood of ten thousand people." Lin Taichu activated his Yin-Yang Eyes and saw the lines on the crystal. "The lingering soul is sealed inside. It can only control things remotely through the curse mark."
He brought out the intact Demon God Crystal Core. Seven-colored light shone upon the Soul
