But cracks had already appeared in the barrier, especially where the Mother Black Scale Beast was attacking. She repeatedly rammed the barrier with the horn on her head. Each impact made the barrier tremble, and the cracks widened a little more.
Everyone in the oasis hid behind the ancient trees. Amu held a wooden staff and stood in front of the children. His face was pale, yet he still gritted his teeth.
The old man stood at the front, gripping his cane as he stared at the demonic beasts outside. His eyes were filled with anxiety, but he was powerless to do anything.
"Lin Taichu!" Amu cried out in delight when he saw him.
The old man turned and spotted him as well, hurriedly shouting, "Hide quickly! These demonic beasts are too powerful! The barrier won't hold much longer!"

He first set his sights on the flying wolves circling low overhead. Though these flying wolves were not large, they were fast and kept pecking at the barrier. If they continued, the barrier would soon break.
