Tian Wei followed Tian Jin and his party through the layered passages of the Heavenly Prison.
Torches flickered on both sides of the passage, casting a cold gleam over the black-iron cells. The stench of blood and decay in the air grew heavier.
Elder Tian Lie walked at the very front, waving for the guards along the way to withdraw. All the Dark Guards also spread out to stand watch on both sides of the passage, protecting Tian Jin so tightly that not even water could seep through.
Before long, they arrived at the solitary cell in the deepest part of the Heavenly Prison. The guard immediately stepped forward, unlocked the black-iron lock on the cell door, then retreated to the side and stood with his body bowed.
Tian Jin strode inside. Tian Wei followed close behind, his gaze sweeping over Lin Taichu inside the cell. His expression did not change, but a wisp of soul power quietly gathered at his fingertips, hidden within his sleeve.
Lin Taichu leaned against the black-iron wall. The chains on him were still wrapped around his body, yet they no longer had their former tautness.
He raised his eyes to look at the newcomers. His gaze swept past Tian Jin and landed on Tian Wei, then he withdrew it, his eyelids lowering slightly.
He had sensed Tian Wei's aura long ago, and he knew clearly in his heart that the plan had already half succeeded.
Tian Jin stood in the center of the cell. The decayed soul power around him suddenly spread, and the air inside the cell instantly turned viscous.
He stared at Lin Taichu, black soul power continuously gathering at his fingertips. He wished he could strike at once and grind Lin Taichu's bones to dust, scatter his ashes to the wind.
