The dungeon of the City Lord's Mansion was on the third underground level, with its entrance in a storeroom behind the Council Hall.
Zhao Feng pushed open an iron door in the corner of the storeroom, revealing a flight of stone steps leading downward. Moonlight Stones for illumination were set into the walls on both sides of the steps, giving off a pallid glow.
The air in the dungeon was damp and cold, carrying a musty smell.
Lin Taichu followed the stone steps down, with Zhao Feng behind him. At the end of the dungeon stood a row of iron doors, each wrapped in Restriction Chains.
Zhao Feng walked to the innermost iron door and took out a key to unlock the chains.
The iron door swung open. Inside was a cramped cell with only a stone bed and a chamber pot. Wu Yin sat on the stone bed, his hands and feet bound by Restriction Chains, the other ends of the chains embedded in the wall.
Wu Yin looked up at Lin Taichu, but said nothing.
Lin Taichu entered the cell and sat down across from Wu Yin.
