"On what basis would they agree to you?"
"Those three used the Profound Heaven Sect's name to do business outside. If something went wrong, others would put it on the Profound Heaven Sect's head, but the Profound Heaven Sect itself couldn't control them. Do you think the Profound Heaven Sect's Sect Master could be willing?"
Zhou Jin thought for a moment, then nodded.
"That does make sense. Then when are you going?"
"I'll go now."
Lin Taichu stood and walked outside. When he reached the doorway, he paused again and looked back at Zhou Jin.
"Tell Su Yao for me. Say I've gone to the Profound Heaven Sect. If I'm not back by dark, have her go find Elder Chen."
"Got it."
Lin Taichu left the Zhao Family Mansion, rode his sword north, and did not stop along the way, flying straight to the mountain gate.
The Profound Heaven Sect's mountain gate was not large. Two Stone Pillars stood at the mountain pass, with a wooden plaque hanging between them, written with the three characters "Profound Heaven Sect." The handwriting was a little old, and some of the paint had peeled away. It did not look like what a great sect ought to have.
Two Disciples stood at the entrance. Seeing someone descend from a sword, they stepped forward.
"Who are you? What have you come to the Profound Heaven Sect for?"
"Lin Taichu of Luofeng City. I've come to see your Sect Master."
The two Disciples glanced at each other, and the older one frowned.
"Wait here. I'll go report."
"Mr. Lin, the Sect Master invites you up."
Lin Taichu followed that disciple up the mountain. The stone steps were not steep, and after walking up, they arrived at a courtyard. The courtyard was not large. A few trees
