Root Cause of the Illness
"Please explain in detail, Mr. Lin," the middle-aged man said.
Lin Taichu did not explain immediately. He continued forward, passed through the work area, and arrived at the entrance of the estate's largest storage warehouse.
The warehouse doors stood open. Inside were piles upon piles of sealed finished fragrances and raw materials, densely packed yet neatly arranged in vast quantities. They were all unsold stock accumulated from orders that had failed to move.
The scent of spices was strongest in the warehouse, and that hidden cold, eerie odor was also at its heaviest here.
Lin Taichu stood at the warehouse entrance and quietly distinguished the scents for a moment.
"Are all the estate's fragrances stored in this warehouse?"
"Yes. All finished products and unprocessed raw materials are kept together in this warehouse, sealed and stored by category. There has never been any confusion."
"Has the warehouse recently added any new fragrance varieties, or purchased a batch of unknown raw materials from elsewhere?" Lin Taichu continued asking.
The middle-aged man thought carefully for a moment, then slowly shook his head.
"No. My estate has been in the fragrance business for many years. Our suppliers and varieties are fixed. We purchase from the Southern Region and the Western Desert year-round and have never casually introduced unfamiliar varieties. Half a month ago, we also did not receive any special new raw materials."
"Then the problem lies with the storage. There is nothing wrong with the fragrances themselves; the storage environment has gone wrong. An abnormal aura has developed and mixed into the fragrances."
The middle-aged man frowned slightly, still unable to understand.
"The warehouse is ventilated and dry, with dedicated staff maintaining it year-round. It is protected against dampness and insects, and our maintenance methods have remained unchanged
