Chapter 702: Battle Bage
After saying something to the snake-man, Bage was the first to rise. The other snake-men had heard what Bage said, and when they saw him stand up, they hurriedly rose as well and formed up.
"Chief, it's him."
When the snake-man in charge of patrols led Bage to where Dao Lord Taichu was, he pointed at him and spoke.
After hearing the snake-man, Bage followed the direction he pointed and saw Dao Lord Taichu lying atop a sand dune.
Bage waved the snake-man away to show that he understood, then fixed his gaze entirely on Dao Lord Taichu.
"Kid, get lost!"
Bage led the group of snake-men behind him onward. When he reached Dao Lord Taichu's side, he spoke to him.
However, after hearing Bage's words, Dao Lord Taichu merely opened one eye, glanced at Bage, and then closed his eyes again.
"Can't you go somewhere else? Do you have to pass through here?"
Dao Lord Taichu spoke to Bage, his tone utterly unconcerned.
Hearing Dao Lord Taichu's words, Bage wore a speechless expression. The place where Dao Lord Taichu was lying was the only route his army could take.
Deep pits lay on both sides. If they went down the sandy slopes, they might encounter turbulent currents and end up in danger. Walking along the top was the safest option.
Yet, by sheer coincidence, Dao Lord Taichu was lying directly across their only path. And now he was speaking to Bage in that tone. Bage was truly reaching the end of his patience.
"Kid, do you know? You're courting death."
Bage could not be bothered to waste any more words on Dao Lord Taichu. He drew the broad blade in his hand and slashed straight at Dao Lord Taichu's waist as he spoke.
"Oh? I'd
